This shit was confusing as hell- hardly new reader friendly
I've never really been big on Morrisson's work so maybe that too just prevented me from getting into it...

I'll admit: I'm a HUGE fan of Grant Morrison. But I just can't get into this run.

I LOVE Grant Morrison, but I can't make it through this run, nor the abysmal artwork that accompanies it

Half of Grant Morrison's run as made me say...

and then there are some titles in this run that always made me say...

Either way, Andy Diggle's valentine short was amazing and he made me want to read his run...

These earliest issues were great, but as Morrison got more and more into his 5th Dimension story, the more this series has needed a new writer. I almost dropped it after the last issue.
I need Scott Snyder's Man of Steel

Thank god. I'm looking forward to buying Action Comics again.

They say that there is a fine line between genius and insanity, and I think Morrison has definately crossed the latter. Seriously, I know a lot of you think hes a genius, and that is your opinions so cool, but he seems like a nut job to me.

This is the guy that hates on Alan Moore saying he writes 'Watchmen' grade material every week. Riiiight. He also wrote a book about Hitler in his youth with his arch nemesis, John Lennon, living in his closet. Genius, right? He admitted to doing drugs before writing too.

Also he asked fans to masturbate to sigils in an occultic ritual so his book wouldn't get cancelled.

Sorry, that doesnt sound brilliant, just crazy.

Once I got to issue 15, reading them right when they came out, I didn't really get what was going on. I decided to sit down and reread all of the issues back to back, instead of once a month and everything clicked. I'm not saying it was really good, but it did make a lot more sense.

Are you all forgetting that Morrison wrote the greatest Superman story ever?
Sure his high-concept, multi-linear, inter-dimensional writing can be confusing, frustrating, and patience-trying, but it can be rewarding when done right. Having said that, I dropped this book months ago....I'll give it a try when its all collected.

I hope Superman has a better run on Action with a new creative team. Sorely needed.

Morrison on Captain America? Having Cap rediscover that he still doesn't have a place in todays U.S.? Been done over and over. How about another theme.
Let him write Swamp Thing or Animal Man. Those books meet his "Counter Culture" interst.
