In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.

I'm not a fan of remakes but she was very good in Let Me In so I'm sure she'll do this justice too.

I don't see the need for this film. The original is a really good movie and I find it hard to believe it will be topped. There have been more than enough pointless remakes over the past decade or so. What next? A remake of Jaws? Dirty Harry?

Dudeposter - 2/25/2013, 11:28 AM
Not everyone has seen the movie. And, there hasn't been a 'good' telling of the story since the first one, so I guess they are trying to make this the definitive retelling.

There really was no need to remake Carrie. Carrie is a horror movie classic. Why can't they adapt movies of Stephen King's other books like Dark Tower.

MrMxyzptlk, how is she not old enough to do that scene? She's 16, definitely old enough to believe she's started her period.

I don't understand the point of this remake. Don't give me the old "Retell it for a modern audience" because the original still fits for young people. Sure the clothes and hair are different but the themes and ideas are still fresh for the high school crowd. Somehow I think this movie will be meaner and "grittier" than the original and thats just stupid.

@Beast092313

She's not old enough to be full frontal nude on camera. Spacek was like 2o something, Moretz is 16.
