I cannot wait for this book! I loved Diggle's "Green Arrow: Year One" and Daniel's "Detective Comics". I have a feeling they'll make Action Comics awesome again. I hated Morrison's run for the most part. I feel the same way about his Batman and Final Crisis... He burned himself out after JLA and All-Star Superman...

Love the art but not sure about Diggle though I.ve only read his Daredevil run and I was not impressed. And I dropped AC after the first arc. Hopefully Snyder & Lee can pull Superman out of mediocrity then I'll have 2 DC books on my pull list.

I'd buy this for the art alone. Amazing.

The suit is nanotech and typically that depicted as a flowing liquid when those little guys start moving around.

Also I think the armor is fine. He doesn't need it for protection but it's still a mighty fine uniform to wear as a symbol.

The cover reminds me of an article I wrote back in September.

Maybe the writers read my stuff??

so if that is nanotech why does he even ned the cape i think as a fan of superheroes i think there should be a time to hang up the cape after a while and jus go out with a suit u kno superman is cool but he would look more badass without the cape he doesnt need it at all hahaha but dont get me wrong there are some other heroes and villians that pull it off well ijs

Love New52 Superman, he's nobody's bitch.

If you're going to hit him, kill him...or you just [frick]ed up.

I've been anticipating Diggle's run for a while now, like Grant Morrison, but I prefer linear story telling. =)

Why does Superman need a cape?
Superman could swear sweatpants and a Tshirt. The color, symbol, and cape are all just style. There is nothing wrong with that.

HATE HATE HATE the Extremis-Superman suit. HATE IT. IT's the dumbest idea ever. Superman with armor that comes out of no-f*cking-where.

UGH.

"superman is cool but he would look more badass without the cape"

I disagree. Would Batman or Spawn look more bad ass without the cape?

The cape MAKES them look bad ass I think

The arts pretty good, not amazing though imo, but anyone but Morrison is an improvement.

Heres hoping I get to add another Supes title to my list, if not Action then It'll be unchained, or maybe even both, (I hope).

Andy Diggle's "Snapshot" for Image has been pretty cool. It's obviously very, very different from how he'd write Superman, but I can at least say this book won't suffer from poor writing like the main Superman title.

Morrison's stuff has been good, but I feel like I'm going to have to read it all in succession once the final issue comes out to really understand the details of the story. Not that there's anything wrong with that; it's just difficult to understand when reading it monthly, and Morrison's more of a "big idea" kind of guy. His Batman work, for example, has been building to a conclusion that started 7 years ago.

That art is great, I really want a decent Superman book, I dropped Action Comics and Superman after #9, I am going to pick up Superman Unchained when that comes out, Jim Lee and Scott Snyder are 2 of my favourite people at DC. I may pick this up.

This looks great! I was getting tired of Superman being portrayed as being too passive in JL and Action. While he may not throw the first punch, which is right for a hero, after he is attacked he should show them it was a mistake to! It's time for Supes in the new 52 to show everyone, superheroes and villains alike that he is top dog. They should have a story as they did with Batman in the old JLA story "Tower of Babel", that if he had to, that Superman could take down the League. I just find that these past few years too many stories have Superman being taken out or held off.
I'm not saying Superman should be a bully, but he needs to be written with him being shown a little more respect. I love Batman, and he should be respected, but I believe they over do it with him. Look forward to Diggles and Daniels run on Action.
