Ryan Reynolds Talks DEADPOOL; "The Studio Is Reluctant To Pull The Trigger..."

Talking at a recent junket for animated movie The Croods, Ryan Reynolds has offered a brief update on Deadpool. It sounds as if the R-Rated screenplay is still causing the studio some major concerns. The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Emma Stone also praises the upcoming sequel.

Marvel fans have been waiting on the Deadpool movie for almost as long as DC ones have been waiting for Justice League, but the following update from Ryan Reynolds - who played Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine - doesn't make it sounds as if it will be moving into active development any time soon. You can find a transcription of what the Green Lantern star had to say below, but be sure to watch the interview to hear what Emma Stone had to say about The Amazing Spider-Man 2's screenplay. Many thanks to our friends over at Hey U Guys for the video.

"It's up to the studio. The studio I think is reluctant to pull the trigger on such a hard Rated-R script. Then the guys who wrote it and the producers won't make it unless it's that hard and, you know, raunchy."
