If you're looking forward to seeing Dexter Morgan enter the world of comic books, then you should be very relieved to learn that the first issue of the series from writer Jeff Lindsay will finally be released this July. The comic book won't be based on the hit Showtime series which stars Michael C. Hall as the titular serial killer, instead taking inspiration from Lindsay's novels (the first season of the show was based quite closely on Darkly Dreaming Dexter). Here are all the details...

DEXTER #1 (OF 5)
Written by JEFF LINSDAY
Pencils by DALIBOR TALAJIC
Cover by MIKE DEL MUNDO

• Dexter Morgan isn’t just Miami’s #1 forensic blood splatter expert...he’s also a serial killer who targets other serial killers!
• In this issue, Dexter faces his worst nightmare: his high school reunion!
• Plus, Dexter faces his other worst nightmare: a former classmate with a secret that could destroy him!

heh it's finishing this summer, so no worries. Debra obviously needs to kill Dexter to end it.

@dellamorte1872 I don't agree. The show got alot more interesting once she was killed and i don't have to see her annoying damn kids anymore. I think season 5 and 7 were great, one of the most interesting seasons throughout the show. The show wasn't about Benz, it was about Dexter.

Yeah, season 4 with John Lithgow at the Trinity Killer was hands down the best Dexter season...

The best episdoe ever was the Thanksgiving episode, "Hungry Man" with Lithgow..

Lithgow's Wife: "I'm sooooo thankful for you Arthur"

I am curious if this will be based off the Television version or off the Novelization.

Is this based on the character or the user here? Both are insane.
