Well this version of Killian has a much bigger role than in the comics. Not going to spoil anything, but I anticipate fanboy tears.

I'm not going to cry because Mandarin isn't exactly the same as the comics.
No Marvel film is taken page for page from the book. I don't want to see that. I've got my comics for that. Movies are another universe, another take on characters. I'm excited to see how they ground him and what Sir Ben brings to the role.

To me it's like Bane. The only problem I had with Bane was his stupid voice. I like to be able to understand dialogue in a film. I didn't care about the venom or the height or whatever.
Again, have comics for that.

Agreed that the twist & ending sounds sucky but lets wait till its out before we complain too much! RDJ isn't gonna let the character be destroyed! ITS CALLED A TRILOGY-ISH CHARACTER ARC! Almost Literally!!! .......... & bye the way Nolanites! Show me a movie, cartoon, comic, picture or anything that shows Superman straining??????? Don't worry I'll wait................................................................. Superman can move planets, smash his way to the core of the earth! Since when has he ever had trouble with an oil platform or big metal structure, like in the Trailer! Stop the Hate man! I Love both Marvel & Dc! But the back & forth between whats better is so lame, so last year!!! Make the World a Better Place Hulk Smash MOS TROLL DOUCERS in the face!

@LoyalFan
Yeah I'm with you all the way buddy. Better yet let's boycott Marvel by not paying for the steaming pile of crap they are trying to serve us. Don't let Marvel rob you of your hard earned money. Let's just watch it at home for free online. That will show Marvel not to make crappy movies.

Superman being that powerful is [frick]ing stupid. If he can move planets and sneeze away solar systems then you wouldn't need other superheroes. I'm glad they limited his power.
REDSTORM
REDSTORM - 4/20/2013, 8:14 PM
FRIG, Those stories were written in a time where Superman was about being unbelievably amazing. He would do the same things we would do, but they would be taken into extremes. A lot of people use the whole "Superman sneezing and blowing away planets" thing as a show of his power, when it really shouldn't be taken seriously.
MisterBabadook
MisterBabadook - 4/20/2013, 8:26 PM
Guys, I read the spoilers already, but don't ruin it for others. You're spoiler alert warnings are ridiculous in the comments section. Just don't post it. Vaguely allude, but don't blatantly be THAT GUY.

I'll still see it, but my expectations are way low now, and they were once at a high. I really am on the boat that MoS is going to bring shivers to your spine because its so good. Ironman3 I no longer think will touch that. Sort of like 2008, when I saw Ironman 3 times then TDK 3 times.
batfan175
batfan175 - 4/20/2013, 8:41 PM
@DarthJericho: I would agree with you if it were not for the fact that all the purists were up in arms over every change that Nolan made to bane, catwoman or the batman mythos in general. And somehow the people who liked those films should just take the insults and noone will criticise the twist in this movie for failing to be faithful to the comics? AT ALL? Hell, no.
batfan175
batfan175 - 4/20/2013, 8:48 PM
@Intruder: I guess you know what the twist is? I also guess you were one of the people who hated any deviation from the DC comics when they made TDKR. If you wanted the Marvel and DC films to be as faithful to the comics as possible you'd be outraged by the stupid twist in this movie unless you are just biased and hypocritical. Scared? More like bored or tired. NOTHING about this film was making me interested to go except for the Mandarin and they butchered that character now. Do the Ironman films even have decent villains in them at this point? I always feel like they're the lamest and least memorable thing about these films.
