@AlbertPooholes (and anyone who hasn't heard): I've heard Banner's 'calm' mind is synched up with the Hulk body. When he gets angry his body turns back into Banner. The armor is to keep the latter half alive when he's more vulnerable.

Arrrrrgh! - FFS!, leave armour off of Hulk!

...seriously, even Planet Hulk armour bugs me to be honest - don't even get me started on THIS full-bodied armoured suit.

@kevberg: Marvel gave Hulk an armor cuz DC gave Superman one first... both companies have cum in their brains.

hey guys how come all of these other, way more powerful, cosmic super-beings have clothes and armor and such but Hulk has to always go shirtless with torn pants? This is Thanos we're talking about! Hulk can be hit, cut, hurt, knocked out or beat, it makes sense that if he hasn't just had some violent, uncontrollable transformation then he might care to wear something else besides half-jeans.

not hatin' just debatin'

Love it. But it resembles Struzan more in composition than style.

Saying Cap is weak & shouldn't be there is equivilant to saying Batman shouldn't be in the JLA.
Both those guys are tactical battle strategist & if you think fighting is all physical / power then you will lose before the battle begins. End.

Enough with the Hulk and the armor already Marvel..

The armor is not there to protect Hulk or anything as dumb as that. Its there to be the adaptable suit for a mindless beast that doesn't care if he's [frick]ing ish up while being naked. Its's been a long time coming but Marvel finally made a logical solution to Banner changing and all his clothes ripping off...instead of his purple pants? Never made any sense. I know..50 years of RAWR NERDRAGE!! But seriously, they decided to give more realistic and logical approach to the look and feel of the Marvel Universe since the beginning of Marvel NOW, so why not take the opportunity to make the aesthetic of Hulk make more sense?

As Mark Waid tells it, the Hulk's armor isn't for Hulk. It's for Banner. If he's gonna use the Hulk as a controlled WMD, Banner wants to be sure he's protected going into a situatin or if he suddenly reverts back in the middle of a dangerous situation. I may not like Hulk in the armor, but it actually makes sense to me when he put it that way.

As someone whose been reading Hickman's Marvel stuff since Secret Warriors, I'm excited for this. He's aptly demonstrated an ability two write some gonzo awesome stories with smaller properties and he's knocking it out of the park with his Avengers run. For my money this is the first real giant crossover in a long time. Civil War - AvX all took place on Earth and I've been longing for the big sweeping universe spanning crossoers of old.

Looks great, I'm hoping for an event that will kick as much ass as Civil War and Fear Itself. I know a lot of people didn't think much of Fear Itself, but I thought it rocked. Sue me.
