CHRONICLE's Michael B. Jordan In Talks To Play 'The Human Torch' In THE FANTASTIC FOUR
It sounds as if Josh Trank will be reuniting with Chronicle's Michael B. Jordan for The Fantastic Four as the African American actor who received acclaim for his role in that movie is said to be in talks to play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch. Read on for details!
According to The Wrap, Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle, House, Red Tails) is in talks to play the Human Torch in Josh Trank's upcoming reboot of the franchise, The Fantastic Four. While 20th Century Fox has declined to comment on this news, "numerous individuals" close to the production have reportedly told the site that the actor has had multiple meetings with the studio and has a good relationship with the director after their work together on Chronicle. His chances now depend on whether or not he has chemistry with the other young actors who are in contention for the movie. Of course, this sheds doubt on the recent reports that Alison Williams has been courted to play The Invisible Woman as it wouldn't make an awful lot of sense if she and Jordan played brother and sister! Regardless, Jordan is a fantastic actor, although it's possible that this decision may cause controversy among the small group of fans who reacted negatively to Idris Elba being cast as Heimdall in Thor or Laurence Fishburne as Perry White in Man of Steel!
