Well, at least now we know that "The New 52" and Batman Beyond universes are (more than likely) one and the same! The guys over at Bleeding Cool spotted this hard-to-miss easter egg in the pages of Batman #20 today, and while we don't know how much more of the issue it features in, the site goes on to say that it, "looks like it won’t be the only time we see this costume..." Could this be an indication that Snyder is planning on further exploring the build up to Terry McGinnis taking over as the Caped Crusader? Just read the issue. It's pretty cool. It's in it for a few pages early on. Left open for more appearances I suppose, but to me it seemed like a simple, fun Easter Egg for fans.

I wouldn't get your hopes up of it returning in a major way. But, I have been wrong before!

Nice! Would like to see Bruce get to that point where he wears the Beyond uniform. It could be a comic series or mini series that takes place between the current books and the Batman Beyond book. Definitely have Snyder write it.

Bboiblack, without Lucius Fox, Wayne Enterprises would be nothing. Fox is a vital character in the Batman comics. if you read Batman: Earth One, Lucius Fox was one of the first people Bruce Wayne went to for help on becoming the Batman he is today. Fox builds most of Batman's gadgets, which is what Batman casually relies on. If it wasn't for Fox, Batman would still be only using flashlights.

Also, I think this is merely a passing joke. they say the BBB costume is not cost effective for 20 years. maybe bruce'll give er a spin, but I doubt this is a paradigm shift.

"Batman beyond" was a very cool spinoff of "batman the animated series"

On paper, it should have been terrible. It was literally a case of wb going to bruce timm and saying:

"Make batman an angsty teenager"
"Make it look kinda anime"
"Make it futuristic and techno"

All things cinsidered I'm amazed how good it is. "Return of the joker" and the superman /justice league eps were jaw dropping cool.
