FAST & FURIOUS 6 Star Gina Carano Says There "Have Been Talks" About Superhero Roles

Revealing that she has yet to read a script for the all-female version of The Expendables, Fast & Furious 6 star Gina Carano goes on to say that there "have been talks" about her playing various superheroes and describes her passion about one day suiting up on the big screen.

"No, I haven’t done any auditions," Gina Carano told Collider in a recent interview when asked if she'd auditioned for any superhero roles as of late. The actress has expressed interest in playing Wonder Woman several times in the past, and while that may not be on the horizon right now, there has been some discussion about suiting up on the big screen at some point or another. " There have been talks about some different characters. That’s a dream to put on a costume and be a whole other level of character, but I think that...we’re looking at a whole bunch of different things right now. There’s always the possibility that some day I will be a comic book character that I’ll play and I’m not sure who that’s going to be. It would be very fun and fascinating. We’ll just have to see where my career is going to go. I love emotions, I love drama, I love comedy and I also want to take action up to another level, I love comics."

As for the rumoured all-female The Expendables spin-off, Carano revealed that while she is attached to the movie, she has yet to even read a script. However, in more good news for those of you hoping to see her as Wonder Woman, she added: "I think it’s important to find a director who has a good vision behind it and, like, from Sucker Punch – I absolutely love that movie. So I take that and I say, “Okay, it’s a bunch of females and it’s very fantasy driven,” but if you take a couple of women who are very realistic and could actually pull off some amazing fights, maybe put a darker twist to the story to it and make it very cool and believable, that would be something I’d of course be interested in." So, a fan of Zack Snyder's last movie, eh? The same Zack Snyder who is directing her boyfriend - Henry Cavill - in Man of Steel and has been rumoured to be up for directing Justice League? Do you guys think we'll see Gina Carano as Wonder Woman?

I know it's been done to death but I think she can really nail the role of the Amazon. I mean she's got the looks, the action and there's always for improvement on her acting (but I already liked her in Haywire).

Having said that I'm curious why Supes17 don't like GC for WW?

One or two more movies that can convince me that she's improved her skills since Haywire, then we'll talk again. Unless someone recruits her for a "muscle" character, then I'll be extremely fine. She's a great battler, and not a bad actress; just not a lead material like Wonder Woman...yet!

Her acting is not that great. At 5'8 she is tall enough for the filmakers to use camera angles to make her appear as if she's taller than 6 ft. (Think Tom Hardy as Bane)

But I don't really like her acting (that isn't even her voice she was dubbed over)


And I honestly don't find her as attractive as some of you guys say she is. Yes she looks hot in that pic up there I will admit.

But if you guys want a Wonder Woman who will be dubbed over in the 5 lines she will be given to say and will only appear during the action scenes like Michael Bay's supporting autobots, be my guest.

to be honest, she's likely the worst "actress" in hollywood. i cant see any director casting her in a major role for a CBM franchise.

I think she would do great as Wonder Woman, people weren't on board for Hemsworth as Thor but he f'n owns it. If she plays it like that or how Lucy Lawless played Xena then we have a winner, WW has to be angry like a female Conan, she's not just a warrior but a Princess in a nation of Warriors so she has a chip on her shoulders from always being tested. If Gina can channel Xena's attitude everything else is there the build, the toughness, the fighting skills, the beauty & the training.

Think about it guys JL comes out in 2015 she can cameo. Wonder Women 2016 or 2017 relese date that gives her 3-4 years to prepare for this role she has the perfect look it can be done! And as a martial arts her dedication and strong will would show and I think she would surprise all of you.

Sorry but there are other hot actresses out there that would do the rolee justice.
The MMA thing doesn't mean shit.
It's all about choreography. There are plenty of actors who weren't professional fighters that did fantastic jobs. For example (The entire cast of The Matrix).

If they can find a drop dead gorgeous woman that can actually ACT,it should be no problem

nope,the only actor that has proved me wrong has been Heath Ledger. I don't think she's the right person for the role.
Another supherheroine, maybe. But not the Amazon.

In all fairness, the movies that she's done so far don't really require amazing acting chops. That being said, I think Carano has a lot of potential. With the right script/direction, she would be an awesome Wonder Woman.

Why not go with the tall blonde chick from Game of Thrones who escorted Jaime Lannister? She may not be as cute as Gina but she can definitely act circles around her. She also has the Amazonian look.

I'm a martial arts nut & the fighting in the Matrix was horrible by the actors (Keanu,Fishburne,& Moss) a better example would be The Bourne Indentity!!! And I saw Haywire the action was good but the writing was horrid, the best scene was with Fassbender by far that scene with Tatum was equally bad on his part.

And put Helen Mirren in there as her mother or an Elder of some sorts, if you surround an actor with better actors their performence is usually better (The Rock-Be Cool, Hemsworth-Thor, Marky Mark-The Departed) all great performences by average or new actors with top notch award winning casts.

god, and the ridiculous amounts of money paid for real actors. 70-80 million for robert downey jr. thats ridiculous. the money should go to the people who do the special effects, the cgi cause thats why i go to see these movies not the actors. anybody else agree with me? i know people love robert downey jr. i dont
