Godzilla stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. Gareth Edwards is directing the film from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont and Dave Callaham. Slated to open on May 16, 2014, the film is expected to be presented in 3D.

So you're saying Tristar should've made a sequel to their Monstrous failure? Yup they made one, its called Godzilla: The Series. Also its a very different movie from Pacific Rim and pretty uncomparable. Its like comparing The Avengers and TASM with The Dark Knight Trilogy and Man Of Steel, same genre, different tone and direction.

Godzilla's origin involves radiation. Maybe they're defending it cuz if Godzilla rampages through it, he'll release tons of radiation and poison the city.

It's Roland Emmerich's Godzilla film in there. They don't want it to ever see the light of day again. That's why the screens are up, they don't even want the guards to glance at it, lest they be contaminated by the sheer enormity of suckage.
