When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot and an untested trainee — who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

@Areopagus they do that 'mind meld' thing to synch their movements. I guess it's a two heads are better than one thing. Maybe you get one guy that's really good with hand to hand combat and another that's good with heavy weaponry, have them mind meld and have both of those strengths when piloting your giant robot.

Looks great.

An observation do you think we'll get articles from critics on the destruction in Pacific Rim Like we did for MOS?... No we won't bloody hypocrites.

This was the best trailer yet IMO. It seemed to demonstrate a more darker tone within the movie. Although that could be just the music.

Anyway I will be seeing this.

People here are the reason original ideas in film are dying.

Yes, this is heavily inspired from mech/monster Japanese series'

But it's still not based on anything. It's different characters with different themes.

So now we'll get remake after reboot after sequel after prequel because people don't support the original ideas when they come.

People are still bitching about MOS on a Pacific Rim article lol! It was a great film, If you didn't like that's fine but drop it. Shit's getting old and ridiculous. Anyways this movie looks like it will deliver. I hope Guillermo finally get's to complete's the Hellboy Trilogy.
