The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won't leave the planet without Riddick's head as their trophy.

Vin Diesel just said like an hour ago in his facebook page "P.s. See you at Comic-con in two weeks... Hall H."
Marvel Studios will be there in Hall H, perhaps they already had their meeting and Vin will be there as part of the GotG panel... who knows.
I love both Riddick movies btw, can´t wait for this one.

won't be the best film of the year but the riddick & underworld movies are guilty pleasures of mine.

@Worldbreaker Lol I know but it's not really my thing to write articles, I just love to come here for the news and say something every two years lol. I just thought it was very interesting that Vin wrote that: "Hall H"

So basically they made Pitch Black again. I'll pass and wait for cable. I was expecting something big from this franchise not rehashed material.

@Brail1975 No it isn't a rehash.

-Two further sequels are planned after Riddick, in which the story will move to the Underverse and Furya.
-The film will feature some flashback sequences which help explain what happened from the last film to where Riddick is now.
- Riddick plays in a gratifying way as a standalone movie, but there are also threads from Pitch Black and Chronicles that they continue and they have sewed in threads for future movies.
-Diesel and Twohy sat down and asked themselves how many more stories they could tell with the character before it started to run out of steam, and they settled on two more movies after Riddick.
-The plan is for the odd numbered films in the series to be smaller scale, while the even numbered films will be larger in scope.
