The first poster for Doug Liman's Edge of Tomorrow has been unveiled ahead of the debut of the first footage from the movie at SDCC, and it features Tom Cruise suited up and ready for action.

The epic action of “Edge of Tomorrow” unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Come on americans....this movie was based on manga called 'all you need is kill' and changing the title is kinda stupid.american are so stupid trying to americanized the manga.

For those people who not really recognize this movie,it was based on the same title,"all you need is kill" (and now,the american change the title to 'edge of tomorrow') by hiroshi sakurazaki and yoshitobi abe.

Screw you,american director who adapting manga and change the race/title.

I did a survey on this movie. Good trailer. First time seeing Emily doing action scenes. The storyline seems good too.

Trailer gave me the feeling of Oblivion mixed with Groundhog's Day

After Oblivion, I do want more of Tom Cruise sci-fi actioner - plus, this one's got cool armors, and Emily Blunt. Not exactly sure about Liman, since he gave us The Bourne Identity, but was also responsible for Jumper, but...well, I'll be looking forward for more.

Ok that armor is pretty sweet. Like the ironman mark 1.5 with a better helmet and less bulky for movement.

This photo definitely makes me interested in this.

All you need is kill is def a better name but not as marketable as Edge of Tomorrow. I hate how studios change the source name to sell it to more people.

Lots of original sci fi coming up Jupiter ascending, interstellar and Wally pfister one forget what its called and this one even though its based on a manga its still more original than most.

It's based on a novel, not a manga. And it's really good, got it on kindle a couple years ago and was really surprised by how good it was. Pretty excited for this. All You Need Is Kill was a better title, Edge of Tomorrow is boring and generic.

This is a FPS video game turned into a movie. You start shitty in a level...then you die. You respawn...you die...you respawn again...you die again...over and over and over. Until you finally figure out what the enemy patterns are and kick ass.
