Joe Quesada Says Marvel Studios Are "Really Excited" About Regaining DAREDEVIL Rights

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige remained coy when asked about The Man Without Fear during press for Iron Man 3, but Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada has now revealed that they're excited to have the rights and are thinking about what could be done with the character. Check it out!

Talking at his "Cup O; Joe" panel at the San Diego Comic-Con earlier today, Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada was asked by one fan about what is happening with Daredevil now that the studio has regained the rights from 20th Century Fox. Marvel Studios never seemed all the desperate to get their hands on Matt Murdock as they at one point offered go let the rival studio keep him in return for Galactus and the Silver Surfer, but it seems as if they are trying to find a place for him in the MCU. "We're trying to air it out," said Quesada. "We love Daredevil, and we're really excited. We just got the property back. Will there be something with Daredevil down the road? I would love it. But we just got it back. It's way too soon to guess what's going to happen with the character." What do you guys think? Should Daredevil be part of "Phase Three"?

Good! Let them take their time and figure out what they want to do with him, instead of messing around with him and giving fans another thing to complain about.

Don't let Slow Quesada near Daredevil.

Also confirm a Daredevil movie with Waid writing it.

Work them into a story together. We had Bullseye. The Owl could be really good onscreen. They may have to change a few small things I'm sure, but do it. DO.......IT!

It will happen.

I think Colin Farrell should be Bullseye again.

He plays the insanity card really well in that movie.

Different costume of course.

the first one bored me to death, how I wish Marvel films will do it the way Marvel did in their comics.

There is no reason that they should do a Marvel Knights crossover. Build up Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Heroes for Hire, Daredevil, and Punisher. Individual and crossover movies.

Now here comes the question... who should be The Man Without Fear?
ricko8687
ricko8687 - 7/19/2013, 7:51 PM
Daredevil should be a Marvel Knights project darker and tougher than than the lighter side of the MCU. Give him a cameo in the Black Panther, and get Ben Affleck to direct the Daredevil movie Now that would Kick Ass.

Yea, no Nolan. Let him keep his realistic style. Marvel Studios is embracing the fantasy aspects of comics, and realistic wouldn't mix well.

Philip Winchester as Matt Murdock! If Matt shows up as a lawyer in CA:TWS... Marvel would crush DC in live action for me, unless we get Flash or Wonder Woman, then I would be a happy camper!

The DD film of 2003 wasn't awful, it just lacked solid direction. Ironically I bet Affleck as director could make a kick ass film. DD is my favorite Marvel hero. Hope to see something soon.

I'd love to see Marvel movies with little or no connection to the Avengers. Daredevil, Cage, Punisher. They can exist in the same universe, but have no interactions with other characters.

To anyone saying that they want to keep Nolan away due to his "realistic" style, they don't know jack about Nolan. This is the guy who gave us Inception, a film that required a lot of creativity. What makes you think he'll tackle a superhero "realistically." MOS existed in a realistic world and look how OP Superman was! Sure, I don't really want him to get involved with Marvel at the moment, but cut the guy some slack!

I would love to see a DD movie. I want them to take their time but also want it to be soon. Especially since Waid is killing in on the DD book.(I only read the first 6 issues but will catch up in the next couple of months).

Actually they can incorporate him in the mcu very easily because he did have a relationship with the black widow and was given an invite to be an avenger but he declined it
