Before the footage was shown, a few new details about the plot were also revealed. According to those in attendance, the movie will focus on how both the humans and apes are fighting to survive, while Caesar is now the leader of a whole society of the latter. He also has a wife and bay and leads a council of ruling apes who communicate mainly with sign language. The purpose of this movie is to take us from the world of Rise of the Planet of the Apes to the original Planet of the Apes. We see the ruins of humanity. It's eight years later. Four years spent fighting the virus and four years spent "fighting each other". Clarke's character, dressed almost in a Dark Tower Gunfighter-style costume steps through the Redwood Forest. He shouts out that he wants to speak with Caesar. We pull back from Caesar. He looks much older with grey hairs. Behind him is an army of apes. Cut to the title and that's it for Apes.
