DEBUNKED: Miles Teller Set To Play 'Mister Fantastic' In Josh Trank's THE FANTASTIC FOUR?
Another young actor is being eyed for The Fantastic Four (lending weight to those rumours that Josh Trank's adaptation will be based on the "Ultimate" version of the team), with 21 & Over and Project X star Miles Teller up for the role of 'Mister Fantastic'.
Josh Trank did a great job with a young (and mostly unknown) cast in Chronicle, but many comic book fans were still hoping that his take on The Fantastic Four would be faithful to the comic books. Well, it looks like it will be, but perhaps not the ones most were hoping for! Confirming the logline from earlier this year, another young actor is being lined up for the role of Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mister Fantastic; a character who has classically been portrayed as being in his late 30s or early 40s. Miles Teller is apparently one a few different actors being lined up for the role, but the Spectacular Now and Divergent actor is said to be Trank's top pick. However, work apparently still needs to be done on the screenplay and a casting director still hasn't been brought on board at this point. Elizabeth Olsen is also one of many names being considered for Susan Storm.
UPDATE: Or not. Josh Trank himself has made it clear that this rumour is 100% NOT TRUE.
