Casting Call Goes Out In New York For Three Lead Roles In STAR WARS EPISODE VII

A casting call has gone out in New York City for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII, and with it comes a description of the three new leads; do any of them match up with the various actors linked to the movie so far? Hit the jump for details!

Showbiz411 have got their hands on a casting sheet for "Untitled Studio Feature", although they believe that it is in fact for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII. It appears as if the three roles described below are for the main characters in the movie; two of whom are presumably the children of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo. Could one of them be Benedict Cumberbatch?!

[YOUNG MAN] Early 20s. Handsome, but not necessarily heroic. He is witty and smart. Physically fit.

[MAN] Late 20s. Physically fit, handsome and confident.

[YOUNG WOMAN] Late teens. Physically fit, raw energy, independent and with a great sense of humor.

In June a similar casting call went out in Los Angeles for these three, a little differently worded, plus a few others. It read like this:

Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.

Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.

A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.

Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn’ t need to be particularly fit.

A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.

Forty something male, fit, military type.

Thirtysomething male, intellectual. Apparently doesn’t need to be fit.

Honestly, it gives the impression that somebody's rewriting the original trilogy with a slightly younger Leia. That said, it's hard to read too much into this: it's only a casting call, and casting calls are always low on info (as they're just going to rocket onto sites like this one right off the bat).

Hmm. No mention of race.

Remember Abrams' SUPER 8's odd casting call for kids with a "mid - Western feel"?

"Looking for adults and a teen with a Corellian, Tatooinish, Naboo-ian feel."

That young Clark Kent should be in this.

Did you guys notice, "Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn’ t need to be particularly fit. "

Hmm, maybe Harrison is backing out and they don't want to tell anyone yet?

I think they can still make 2015. Shooting takes what, 2 to 3 months? And I bet there will be a lot more digital sets than they are admitting to. The key to successful CG shots is to shoot them and light them as if you were really there. Some directors get that, and thus their FX shots go unnoticed. Abrams has been pretty good at that.

This is a franchise I'll actually be able to grow with. The characters and their age range! I feel as if I'll be more connected for some odd reason! lol

Episode VII will either be the rise of a legend or the epitath on its grave. Either way I'm there.

Such casting calls are total bullshit.
Three well known upcoming actors with power agents will be cast, just wait for it.
This is just cheap promotion.

No its not han, Leia and Luke. Its Jaina, Jacen & Anikin Solo. I believe its their three kids. A combo of the New Jedi Order & Legacy Of The Force Series would make a great series. It would show that the star war universe has other threats beyond the sith. But also show the sith will always be a thorn in the back of the jedi. They could easily spin off a boba fett series from it because you learn in the books that the colones were designed with a genetic kill switch and Boba has been trying to stop the process for years. He ultimately has to kind the Caminos for the cure. It really could be epic.
