DC Adaptations To Be "Basis" For Warner Bros.; BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Title Confirmed?

While Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara talked this past weekend about Ben Affleck's "seasoned" Batman, we now have some more quotes from his speech to shareholders which promise a larger focus on DC's comic book stable moving forward and possible confirmation of the Batman Vs. Superman title.

When the Harry Potter franchise ended, many fans thought it would mean that Warner Bros. would focus their efforts on bringing more DC comic book characters to life on the big screen. However, the commercial failure of Green Lantern and a trilogy of movies based on The Hobbit seems to have slowed those plans down, and you can't blame anyone for being worried about the likes of Wonder Woman and The Flash when there are more films based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter characters are on the way. However, we now have a quote from Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara in which he seems to make it clear that the DC superheroes do factor somewhere into their plans of releasing between 12 - 14 movies a year. "I think the basis, foundation of those 12 to 14 pictures are going to be coming from DC Entertainment." While he would later add that further announcements are on the way, the CEO may have inadvertently let slip the title of Zack Snyder's Batman/Superman movie when talking about the highly anticipated team-up. "We have Batman Vs. Superman coming out in 2015, but there are going to be in the coming months a lot of announcements regarding the future movie, television, games and consumer product pieces that are going to be coming from DC." This is the same title spotted recently on Watchmen cinematographer Larry Fong's resume at Worldwide Production Agency.

[frick] Batman VS Superman. Batman can't beat Superman and this is coming from a die hard Batman fan. My grandma could beat Superman with Kryptonite.

And yea I bet 12-14 DC films are coming. That's a lot of Batman and Superman films you're making.

Talk is cheap.

12-14 Batman/Superman movies.*

I think he's saying that the majority of the next 12-14 movies WB is gonna release are gonna be DC films. Not 12 DC films. Like how Disney is releasing some stuff but Marvel Studios movies are the bulk of those releases. So maybe 4 or 5 DC films, those three Harry Potter spinoff films, a few bad comedies .. You know the usual.

Who really wants to watch Batman VS Superman? Why would you have them fight. There is no way Batman can win. The only one idea I see if its like Hush. Bats fighting Supers and to get Superman to snap out of it, he has Selina drop Lois from a building.

So was Variety or THR right when they said The Flash was coming out in 2016? Because I haven't heard WB talk about that yet.

Warner Bros Studios will be making 12 to 14 movies a year including the DC offerings, not 12 to 14 DC offerings. so I'm thinking like 2 or 3 DC movies a year tops.

It sounds like great news, but I will believe when I see it. WB has always dangled this carrot in front of us but all we get is Batz and Supes.

I will get excited when I hear officially that a Flash, WW, or Aquaman movie is announced. Heck just anyone of those and I will be excited.

Really not feeling Batman's name appearing before Superman's in a film that is supposed to a sequel to Man of Steel.

Batmaniac

but seeing Batman, a mere human beat the man of steel creates a spectacle to be remembered.

That will only create more people to love Batman and make Superman look like a pussy.

Why does anyone want to see Batman beat Superman? Does any Marvel fans want to see Wolverine & Spider-Man fight in a movie?

It's just ridiculous. How the [frick] can Batman go against the Superman we saw in MOS? this mother[frick]er took several minutes of straight hit from a [frick]ing world engine, destroyed like half the city with his fight and didn't burn during reentry. Took on three of his own kind and.. He Survived Faora. Idk... This is a bit hard to swallow. I get it in the comics but man..

There is a difference in writing a character smart and all knowing. You can write Batman smart and him not know or figure out Superman's weakness. Batman knows he can't stand a chance to Superman because of how powerful he is. That doesn't make Batman dumb he can't figure out how to beat him. No one could or can.

But Lex should though.

"Batman vs Superman" probably isn't the actual title.

He probably just said that in reference to them both being in the next film, of which some part will be antagonist (much like the Avengers fighting before teaming up). Then it's been taken as a direct quote and written up as a movie title.
LEVITIKUZ
LEVITIKUZ - 9/16/2013, 12:00 PM
It should have Bruce Wayne/Superman hunted by Lex.

Maybe even Batman/Clark Kent hunted by Black Mask or Penguin.

I am so the title of the movie will change that is a given. And yes I understood that the 12 to 14 movies each year there will be a mix of DC movies released but exactly how many my guess is ONE if we are lucky.

Man the share holders need to press them and keep reminding them of Marvle/Disney.
