Awesome, awesome trilogy. Say what you want about Nolan, he has the mindset that the less CGI, the better. He could've done so many things with just plain, boring CGI. Instead, we got a fully functioning, life-sized Tumbler. We got an actual, functioning Batpod. We got an actual semi-tractor trailer flipping over. That's something the movie industry in general should do more of. Practical effects > CGI

It's really good,no doubt about it.
Batman has no super powers & in a near-reality his character & world works.

Having said that I believe we have only been given "pieces" of what could be done with Batman from the comics,which is the best Batman of all.

I would love to watch the whole featurette but i'm not going to spend $100 on these again for it.

This was a fun trilogy. batman Begins is a film I could watch all day long.

Like most of you, though, I am hungry for a Batman that might be a little more in line with the comic book version.

So [frick]in awesome. Dude is one of the reasons I'm going into film.

This still seems far too light on special features.

90 minutes to cover over 6 hours of films is a paltry amount when what we really ought be getting is multiple commentaries and featurettes/breakdowns of each film.

You can keep the toys and shiny gimmicks, I want something a bit more rewarding and substantial.

I haven't loved everything Nolan has done, (TDKR and Inception are overrated IMO) but I really appreciate his respect for the source material. He sees something in the story of Batman and the character of Bruce Wayne and he's helped to open the eyes of non-comic book fans.

Unfortunately, a lot of them seem to think he took a simplistic character and made him interesting. Even with all the success of Nolan's trilogy and comic book movies in general, I don't feel like much respect from general audiences has carried over to the source material.

Yep. Everything about the three movies was perfect . . . except in those places where they weren't.

In some twisted universe that makes me a "hater."

But in reality, it just makes me a fan that saw the 3 films for what they were - 3 really good movies with flaws.

Now, adding to BIGMH's point, I agree about the audience not having much respect for the source material. In fact I believe that those general audiences could not possibly care less about the faithfulness of these movie heroes to their original origins and mythos. With the notable exception of Superman and the planet he comes from, the non-comic reading public ONLY wants a good, well thought out story.
But heres the silver lining that the movie makers SHOULD take advantage of: Since they (the general public) doesn't give a flying f about wether or not theres fealty to the written/drawn comic page, they can make the general audiences AND the comic geeks deliriously happy by producing a good, well thought out story (see above) THAT IS TRUE to the source material. And I mean MORE true than is currently being accomplished.
BOTH.
CAN.
BE.
ACHIEVED.

They just have to stop saying, "Hey, wouldn't it be even cooler if we changed . . ."

Well here's news to you "dip shipped" IT IS A COMIC BOOK. YOUR SOURCE MATERIAL FOR THREE OF YOUR LAST FIVE MOVIES WERE.

It's this mindset that probably cause two of the three movies to really lack. People were so starved for a serious Batman that they sold out on the character.

Half of you guys probably don't realize the Internet was furious after Batman and Robin everyone knew it would be suicidal to try the camp again. It's just like all you idiots that fail to admit MOS was a disappointment.
