George Clooney Finally Shares His Thoughts On Ben Affleck Being Cast As BATMAN

Since Ben Affleck was cast as the Caped Crusader, we've heard from far too many people who have nothing to do with any of the Batman franchises. However, a few of the actors who previously played The Dark Knight have spoken out, and now Batman and Robin's George Clooney is the latest.

Like me, you're probably sick and tired of hearing B-List celebrities sharing their thoughts on Ben Affleck being cast as Batman, especially when they literally have no connection to any past or current iterations of the franchise. After all, who really cares what Donald Trump and Patton Oswalt think? Well, in the latest issue of Empire Magazine, they caught up with someone who knows all about playing the Caped Crusader on the big screen; Batman and Robin's George Clooney! "I am the least qualified person to comment on anyone playing the role of Batman since I so terribly destroyed the part," he laughed, before adding: "I tend to look at it like this - let's just see what the movie is before everyone starts beating him up. He is a smart man, he knows what he is doing." So, not exactly an endorsement, but he does think - like the sensible majority - that fans should give "Batfleck" a chance before completely writing him off!

and now We have one more from someone who would love to have literally nothind to do with Batman franchise.

I don't know who cares about their opinion. I think Ben can pull this off nicely therefore I wait for the movie or at least first trailer and I will know everything after the premiere.

Clooney and Affleck are best buds. Clooney even produced Affleck's ARGO. Did anyone expect him to say anything bad about his friend?

I think Affleck will do fine, unless he lets all the negative talkback get to his head and turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Most of these 'X Comments On Ben Affleck As Batman' are all going to be the same thing if that person currently works in the business.

It will be: 'He has the chops, let's see what he can do, I trust Synder' etc.

Celebrities are going to support each other, they won't dog him out. At the very least, they'll just make jokes about it that may indicate how they really feel but never actually outright slam him.

The real honest reactions will come from the fans.

There's no reason people should be kicking up a fuss.

He's a very handsome, well respected actor and director (sure it took him many years to get there but it's true) who's latest films has shown how talented he's become.

I'm all for it.

This movie is going to be epic.
Who knows if it's going to be good?

But, a movie featuring two of the most iconic superheroes in the world is bound to be spectacular.

In all honesty, Clooney was the best Bruce Wayne thus far. Batman, no. But Bruce Wayne, YES.

@TheWolverine08

While Ben is getting accolades for his directing skills, his acting in Argo and The Town was while not great, good and the man can still get all cut up for the physical side of things.

George is right...gotta wait & see how it turns out.
My big worry is Ben's weak voice.
He must put some bass in the voice when wearing the cowl.
Affleck may not wanna growl but do something.

I think if Clooney had been directed by Burton, he would have made a good Batman. We will never know though.

@soforozio Really? Just because he's a good director doesn't mean he'll be a good actor.
