Last week, there was a rumour doing the rounds that Sir Ben Kingsley had auditioned for a major role in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII. Here's what he had to say when Total Film asked him about just that in a recent interview. "Oh, what a shame that I wasn't awake during the audition. It's passed me by entirely...I have no recollection of it whatsoever! I do apologise to the producers and director, but I'm afraid that I have no recall of this." It's a bit of a strange way to answer. You can tell he's just having fun, but you would normally expect a flat out denial; could it be that he's playing coy because he really will be in Star Wars Episode VII? It seems more likely that he's just making fun of a very silly report which somehow spread like wildfire!
