UPDATE: Tom Hardy Wanted By Director Alan Taylor For 'John Connor' Role In TERMINATOR 5
THR have confirmed that Emilia Clarke, Brie Larson and Margot Robbie will test for the role of 'Sarah Connor' in Terminator 5 next week, while also offering an update on the actors being looked at for 'Kyle Reese'. It also sounds like Alan Taylor is keen on The Dark Knight Rises' Tom Hardy for 'John Connor'!
Yesterday, Schmoes Know reported that Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Brie Larson (21 Jump Street) and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) were set to audition for the role of Sarah Connor in Terminator 5, and The Hollywood Reporter has now confirmed that the former two will indeed be testing next week. Robbie meanwhile has just "surfaced in connection with the role". The site adds that Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) IS on the short list for the role of Kyle Reese, but Boyd Holbrook (The Host) is NOT. Meanwhile, Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor's dream actor for the role of 'John Connor' is said to The Dark Knight Rises' Tom Hardy, but a meeting hasn't taken place as of yet. Arnold Schwarzenegger will also return, "as a Terminator robot in a time-spanning story that sees him tasked to protect Sarah Connor as she grows up." How do you guys feel about this news?
