Superior SM is a fantastic read......it still has PP conscience in it.....new fresh story telling. When PP backs....he will be different and how he copes with Doc Ocs decisions.

I think everyone should give it a read.

There are lots fans hating and want the same crap fed to them each month.....this is a fresh take.

My collection Spidey comics is huge and will be happy for this to join my many boxes in my garage.

I'm glad someone else is enjoying this.

I grew tired of hating superior Spiderman mainly due to the fact that once Peter is back it'll be interesting to see how he adjusts to the changes Otto has caused, and how he'll try and fix relationships with the other heroes.

This is nice having Peter back even if its not set now but seriously what's up with his foot in the first cover?

@Oldgreg

Good man.....keep it up.

I believe changes like this should happen in comic books but drastic changes in Movies like IM3 is a no no for me.

Has anyone been reading the Longshot series? This week's issue showed that Doc Ock was exposed as to killing Peter and taking over his body. J.J. Jameson and the Avengers what to put him down, but Longshot stops them. Doc has done so much good being Spidey, and uses what looks like the cosmic cube to keep Doc Ock as Spidey.

Full Disclosure: I have not read a spider-man conic since 2010. It was comforting to know that Peter Parker was out there racking up more stories and taking down more rogues, though. I think that it's time for his resurrection. There are just certain heroes you don't kill. Spidey, Cap, Batman. They aren't my favorites but they are indispensable icons.

The superior Spider-Man series is not as bad as I expected, but Slott was a fool for telling us that Ock will replace Peter definitely, when he's not writing him with that in mind, clearly: he's making no effort to turn Ock into a hero, and what's more, he stillb behaves pretty much as a villain, so there is NO WAY this will be permanent. The only thing he's doing is adding some emotional connections/love intrerests to the character, so that his fall from grace is a little more trgic than a "[frick] yeah, peter's back" moment. But yeah, about 6 months from now, Peter will be back, I'm sure of that now.

I hate the argument (in any case) that "it's a fresh take on the character and it opens a lot of story possibilities." Any big shake up could do that, but that doesn't mean it's isn't dumb. For example, if Captain America suddenly morphed into a lizard man and had to try to continue bein a superhero while hiding from society, it would be a fresh take with story possibilities. It would also be really dumb. You can't say in this case that it's a fresh take on the character of Spider-Man because it's a different character entirely. I'm not saying Superior wasn't an interesting idea, but it's gone in too long. Should have been a story arc that lasted a few issues, not over a year.

It's good that they're finally bringing back peter parker. Though I wish they wouldn't draw him to look like Andrew Garfield
