The fate of the entire Ultimate Universe lies in the hands two very unlikely champions this January in CATACLYSM: THE ULTIMATES’ LAST STAND #3! From the blockbuster creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley – the Ultimates know Galactus is not of their universe, and they’re willing to do anything to stop him! Including sending Miles Morales and Ultimate Reed Richards into the Marvel Universe for help! But has Reed redeemed himself in this time of crisis – or is he only out for himself? "This is the first time we really get to see Ultimate characters explore the Marvel Universe," said Senior Editor Mark Paniccia. "It won’t be a picnic and will have emotional ramifications for one of the travelers." Faced with impossible odds in a strange new universe, are they the saviors of the Ultimate Universe? Or its last two survivors? Don’t miss CATACLYSM: THE ULTIMATES’ LAST STAND #3 this January for the answer!

@MaGiC8BALL

That would be hilarious actually. I wonder what the fan response for that would be like.

CBM, I know you guys have to pay the bills somehow, but these ads are getting ridiculous. Every time I open a page now, an ad fills the screen and I have to search for the "x" to close it out so I can read the article. No disrespect to you guys, but is it really necessary for an ad to expand to fill up a page or have an ad cover up half of a picture that has been posted.

@Magic8ball - that's what I've been expecting for a while now. I expect the "emotional" piece that the article references to be Miles finding his parents alive and well in the main Marvel Universe.

Thanks for the info. Those ads are a real nuisance sometimes. Like a gnat that won't get out of my face.

I'm guessing the "Ultimate" line is failing. Whenever someone (Bendis) says the universes won't cross, crossovers are a sign of desperation.

Sigh

Honestly, adblock is great.. but it shouldn't be necessary to view a site. I'm fine with ads on the sides etc, but I literally can't navigate through the page without closing multiple ads. It makes viewing CBM on an iphone a nightmare. Thank god I don't have to deal with the [frick]ing ads on my desktop or laptop but still.. the amount of ads on this site is too damn high *insert meme*

I loved the Ultimate universe, especially the Ultimates 1 and 2, until Loeb [frick]ed it up with Ultimates 3 and Ultimatum. Ult. X-Men post Mark Millar was pretty mediocre.

Very true sir. I've given up trying to read anything on this site through my iPhone. Glad to know I'm not the only one that's bothered by this.

Oh right. Gotta keep their pandering characters alive.

@Emo hell yeah!

Also. I loved the first 100 or so issues of Ultimate Spider-Man. It was a nice reboot and while there were a few lackluster storylines and lame villains, I was generally happy. Miles is a great Spidey and I hope he stays in the 616 universe and helps Peter Parker take back his body from Doc Ock.

What about the havoc of having "Doom" Richards in the 616 universe? He basically became Dr. Doom after Doom was killed by Ben Grimm in Ultimatum. Ultimate Richards was one of the better aspects of the Ultimate Universe after Ultimatum. He was twice responsible for omega level events in which he basically took on, and almost defeated, the entire Ultimate Universe. Should be interesting.

Correction three times. Richards was to the Ultimate Universe, what Thanos is to 616.

I love Bagely's art. It always suits Spider-Man.
I'm thinking Miles, Ultimate Reed, and 616 Mysterio will escape the Cataclysm in the 616.
But I also think 616 Miles might be the new Mysterio that Ock was mind-controlling.
