For years, the symbiote has tried to return to its original host – and now it finally has! Peter Parker was strong enough to overcome the symbiote’s dark grasp – but is Otto Octavius? The Superior Spider-Man is no more. There is only...the Superior Venom!! "The creative team of Slott, Gage, Ramos, Olazaba, and Delgado has been knocking each and every one of these issues out of the park with their particular brand of action and humanity that you really can’t find anywhere else," says Editor Ellie Pyle. "But this issue has surprises we haven’t even hinted at!" It’s all been leading to this! As the Superior Venom battles the Avengers – the Goblin King’s final pieces fall into place. And seeds sown here bear bitter fruit in the upcoming Goblin Nation arc! Not everyone will make it to issue #26. You cannot afford to miss the utterly shocking SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #25!

They need to. It's actually retarded if they dont, I get there has to be a suspension of belief every now and then, but surely after knowing Spidey for so long and fighting side by side with him so many times they can tell there's something wrong with him... Seriously, I've given this shit title a few tries, but it's just too stupid to bother, the only time I've enjoyed reading shit about OctoSpidey is when Chris Yost wrote him, but even then cos the premise is so damn stupid it's been barely bearable.

@Gusto- I don't. It looks like it was drawn by a 7 year old Rob Liefeld.

Ramos seems to be under the impression that ankles are as wide as twigs.

If these morons don't know that, that's not Peter by now they need to turn in their Avengers card.

They just think something is wrong with him. They don't know that he is "not Peter"...

And this fight is happening only because MJ called them to say he is being controlled by the Symbiote again.

And Flash is now dying without the symbiote. He has hours to bond back with it, but Otto don't plan to let it go.

It is almost done. Flash with Venom headed to Space with GotG. Octtospidy will fall in "Goblin Nation". It will be the symbiote that really helps breaks "specter" Pete back in to the halls of his own mind. Then Pete will find a way to thwart OTTO ONCE AND FOR ALL! When Octospidy was looking for that formula to stop the Time Door from going ka-boom in #19, a 'specrter" fist burst through some rubble. He's in there, waiting for the right move.

@Lostcause you just stole the words out of my fingers man Haha!

Pete is just waiting for the right time to fully Rise (pun slightly intended...you know, from the movie?...never mind). And it so happens that a year is now passing from his "death". It was just about time.
It still is a good run, but I must admit I'm reading it just for when Pete returns.

I don't think Peter is coming back from within. I think they dropped a big clue in Superior 23 when the Goblin said he feels like he should know who Spider-man is, like an itch in the back of his mind. I think his return is going to resolve "One More Day" If all of this is the case Peter is burning in Hell with Mephisto right now. I think they played the inner battle card already in the beginning.

Thor by himself could kill superior venom. I'm gonna be pissed if he takes Down the avengers

Isn't Mephisto being robbed? If Peter is no more then Mephisto doesn't get his little voice of ultimate sadness. Would he stand fer that?

Honestly Superior Spiderman was an awesome arc that got me reading Spiderman again, but I am ready to get Peter back too. It gave some redemption to Octavius but it is time for the saga that brings Peter back.
