COMICS: New Preview Page From WOLVERINE #1 Seemingly Reveals That Logan Loses His Claws

Wolverine is without a healing factor thanks to the events of "Killable", but is he also set to lose his claws? That could be why we've seen him armed with a gun in artwork from an upcoming relaunch, and a preview seemingly indicates that Logan will also be using prosthetic claws! What?!

After the events of KILLABLE, Wolverine has something to prove. Before he can take on Sabretooth again, he’ll need to build himself back up, get better and stronger than he’s ever been…but it’s not as easy as he thought, and he’ll soon find himself turning to other means of revenge when the normal channels don’t seem to be working fast enough. Can he fight back his demons, or is this the beginning of a Wolverine who’s gone to the dark side?

I haven't read anything Wolverine recently, but I had seen some art with this costume but with his normal claws. I'm guessing he still has them, but I think the case is exactly what @BlackRobin98 said. Also, I thought people knew this already. The pencils for this were released months ago. Follow Ryan Stegman, he's posted it on just about every social network.

Wolverine was cool before Quesadilla came in and [frick]ed him up... Thanks, Origin.

As long as Disney controls Marvel,Wolverine will never be allowed to go back to his old roots of being a violent bad-ass!And I noticed since Disney bought Marvel that they've toned down the character even more! What a shame!

@BenjiWest That's right! He did voice Shredder huh? I'm a 90's kid, I always remembered him as Uncle Phil and War Machine on Iron Man.

They need to kill him off, do a lion king kind of story, kill him off in a way that sticks to the reader, have his son take his place or something

Obviously setting up for his big death in September, and eventually bring him back and giving him back is healing factor and claws.

Losing his claws?
Getting that ridiculous costume?
Marvel are definitely killing him off.

I'm so sick and tired of Wolverine and Batman. These over-rated and over-exposed characters should go away already.

There's nothing wussified about Wolverine. It's called character growth. Because you'd think a man who had lived a century and a half might learn a few things along the way.
The only reason he was so primal and pissed off for so long was because of his missing memories. They showed the audience those memories over a slow period of 20 years, so what's the point of putting him right back where he started? He's still a badass. He still kills. But now he can use the experiences of several lifetimes to be a better hero.

Well without his healing factor, Wolverine would be seriously bleeding out every time he pops his claws and he's not replacing it fast enough.

His best weapon is killing him. So the first thing to do is replace the weapon.

@intruder
I understand your point but it wasn't what I was referring to.I know it's been years and years of pacifying the Wolverine character in comics probably since Magneto messed him up,but what I was saying is even if the fans want the old 'the best at what he does' Wolverine,Disney will NEVER allow it since they have an image to uphold!Just an opinion.Well,I'll throw the question to you...Do you think Wolverine will ever go back to his roots of 70's & 80's tough as nails kinda of guy era as long as Disney is holding the leash?

Awful, just awful. Guess Marvel really like [frick]ing over the characters that really made them famous... First Spider-Man, now Wolverine? Who's next Hulk?
