COMICS: Lettered Preview Of Charles Soule And Javier Pulido's SHE-HULK #1

JENNIFER WALTERS IS...THE SHE-HULK! A stalwart Avenger, valued member of the FF, savior of the world on more than one occasion, she's also a killer attorney with a pile of degrees and professional respect. A 7-foot-tall drink of cool, emerald water, she's tough enough to knock out Galactus with one punch (possibly?) and has a heart bigger than the moon. But juggling cases and kicking bad guy butt is starting to be a little more complicated than she anticipated. With a new practice, a new paralegal and a mounting number of super villains she's racking up as personal enemies, She Hulk might have bitten off a little more than she can chew...but she just calls that that Tuesday.

LOL, sometimes I have your same reaction when I see your average Jim Lee wannabe, I find the art style okay, not Darwyn Cooke level, but I like it.

I agree, i know this style has gotten more popular lately, but I don't like it. I grew up reading comics in the 90's though, and i believe there's plenty of people out there who didn't like the hyper-muscled, over-sexed, darker and gritty stuff of that time. To each his own i guess...but mine's better ;)

That second cover is great though.

The fifth cover has a Norman Rockwell feel to it.

I've always liked She-Hulk, probably my favorite female superhero. But I just don't like that artist, and this looks to be his most extreme book. Looks like one of those low budget cartoons on a Cartoon Network.

Some of the covers are really great though. Shouldn't she have green blood like her cousin?

Yeah, I'm not quite digging the art style.
I'm all for 'heroes when they're not being heroes' stories, Hawkeye's hilarious and more often than not that's what Daredevil is about, but those also have very appealing art.
This feels like it's trying to be those, but it's not as good.

The art style reminds me of the last decent She-Hulk series, so there's one reason to think it might be good.

Man, I know how that feels. No bonus, but nothing's too expensive for the top dogs. Just got denied bonus again, while the CEO gets millions. This might be my last year before I jump to another company.

It is a fun Art Style for the story they appear to be trying to tell.

@pointman
Her books are mostly aimed at males, hence stories like Eros' rape trial or the time Jen banged the Juggernaut.

That top cover is fantastic, art-wise.

I've never read any She-Hulk, but to me she seems like a better basis for ongoing stories that Wonder Woman (who I love, but what does she do day in, day out?).

With this art, it looks like they went from pencils straight to coloring, much like Sara Pichelli's art on GOTG.

Don't know if that's a good or bad idea in regards to having no inker...

Shit. I saw the cover on Marvel's Website. Thought a new She-Hulk would be [frick]ing awesome. Time to call Barney and tell him to remove this from my pull list.

I'm sorry but this art makes me think of Kristen Stewart's acting. A shame because I actually like where the writing seems to be going. I love heroes with legit day jobs. Ones that are working because unless your with Heroes For Hire being a hero doesn't pay the bills.

That face panel on the second page scared me. Also, is She-Hulk getting tasered in the boob on that first page?
