According to Variety, Adam Driver is the first addition to the cast of Star Wars Episode VII. If that name is familiar to you, it's probably because he was once linked to the role of Nightwing in Batman Vs. Superman, but he's also made a name for himself in HBO's Girls. The site reveals that he's extremely close to signing on to play the lead villain, a role they go on to describe as being "in the vein of iconic 'Star Wars' villain Darth Vader." Driver was among those rumoured for a role at one point, but it's only recently that he became Disney and LucasFilm's top choice to star in the movie.
