The world may have changed since Spidey’s been gone, but so has Peter Parker. This is a man with a second chance at life, and he’s not wasting a moment of it. Same Parker Luck, new Parker attitude. Putting the “friendly” back in the neighborhood, the “hero” back into “super hero,” and the “amazing” back into “Spider-Man!” Also returning: The recharged and reenergized ELECTRO!

It makes sense that the same spider that bit Peter would eventually bite someone as well. I like to see where this goes.

Really, really want to pick this up as I'm back into Spider-man since Superior but I really dont like that art.

The story seems cool with the spider biting someone else as well.

I hate Slott's writing, and I hate Ramos' art. Marvel needs a better team on their most recognizable super hero.

Cool idea, but it`s Slott, so it could go either way. Plus, I hate Ramos` style.

Hate the way they still make him look like his origins happened in the 60's. If it did he'd be 65 years old. I thought the sliding timescale is applied with set events in a comic book world.

I actually like the art somewhat. I just hate Dan Slott. He writes the most outlandish things for a beloved character.

Same man. This is the second retroactive changing of an iconic characters origin. Plus I said earlier Marvel still acts like events that happened in the 60s ACTUALLY happened in the 60s.

They already pulled a "sort-of-New-52" with One More Day. And we all know how well it all went.

Ramos actually doesn't look totally crap here.

Only character who has an origin that takes place in set time periods should be... Captain America, Wolverine and to a degree Magneto with his WWII background... Most other characters should adapt to modern times... So y is spidey looking like its 1965 in his origin beats me ;p

"if there is any character in comics who needed a clean slate, it'd be Spidey". Well, there are also the X-Men. Man, if their story isn`t convoluted.

New 52 failed, why are people talking about Marvel emulating it?
Odin
Odin - 4/1/2014, 3:03 PM
@DrDoom agreed
character info for Spiderman use to say that the spider died for radiation right after biting Peter, where has this other person been for all these years. These better be REALLY good.
JaiHo
JaiHo - 4/1/2014, 3:07 PM
O don`t think New 52 failed. It just wasn`t for everyone. My biggest complaint about it is that it should have started a totally fresh universe, without any history. Instead, it`s just a revamp - some of the past events got changed, others weren`t.

Good to see Peter back but how will another Spider powered person help with his event coming up.
storyteller
storyteller - 4/1/2014, 3:19 PM
When it comes to the spider, the assumption was that it died very quickly after biting Peter so it didn't have time to bite another.

Wow, you`re really angry at DC ;)

That spider is a real jerk. Goin' around bitin' on peoples for no reason.

@ MrBlackJack: True that, sir.

@ dethpillow: It was a joke, don`t be so serious. Also, I agree with you on most points.

It's actually really interesting how that same spider that got Peter his powers bit another person. It's actually a pretty good idea, they should make a villain out of that person, but I doubt slott would do it any justice
