Adrian Toomes' Role In Sony's THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Cinematic Universe Revealed?

It's obviously unlikely that these viral Daily Bugle articles will have too big of an impact on the future of the cinematic universe that Sony are building around The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, but the fact that this iteration of Adrian Toomes is an Oscorp employee could go a big way in explaining why exactly his Vulture wings were spotted alongside Doctor Octopus' arms. If these villains and their devices are all connected, it makes sense that we'll see them all come together as The Sinister Six. What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

In an unexpected setback, Oscorp Industries failed to secure a contract for the development of a flying suit with the United States military.  Sources say  the international conglomerate had been so confident of landing the contract they had already hired a congratulatory skywriting message over New York City that read: “Oscorp soars to success!”

Government sources hinted that the contract intended for military aerial reconnaissance and infiltration landed with a Los Angeles-based conglomerate with offices in Manhattan. Oscorp spokesman, Donald Menken, had no comment.

The losing bid repudiates two decades worth of research in electromagnetic anti-gravity conducted by Oscorp robotics division engineer, Dr. Adrian Toomes. When asked what this development meant for Toomes, Menken simply rolled his eyes and replied “Really? Why are you even asking me? No comment.”

Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Sally Field, and Chris Zylka, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released in the UK on 18th April and in the US on May 2nd.

I have to admit I really really want to see Spider-Man vs The Sinister Six on the big screen. I want that more than Thanos vs the Avengers. Obviously not as much as Justice League vs Darkseid.

I know this is a Sony thread, so I’m going to keep this brief, but I want to know who has sided with The Dead Rabbit Gang, and who has sided with Pasto in this little mole-hill that’s slowly turning into a mountain. I, for one, am loyal to Pasto ‘till the day I die.

Are they trying to make Oscorp the source of all of Spider-Man's villains? Electro, Lizard and Green Goblin are definitely from Oscorp. Now the Vulture and presumably Dr. Octopus (based on the harness shown in the trailer). The Rhino is a Russian thug but we don't know the origin of his suit. Spider-Man himself is the result of Oscorp.

Come on now.

@dotanuki

Exactly the reason I have extremely low expectations from this film. I bet they make Venom from Oscorp as well.

I think it would be great if they did a Sinister Six movie and have Spidey as their "villain".
Appearing only in his costume.

"In other related news, Oscorp Industries is being shut down due to the growing mountain of evidence that indicates major criminals such as The Lizard, Electro, Rhino, Green Goblin, Vulture, Doc Ock, and Venom, are all connected to Oscorp Industries in some way."

"We tried to get a comment from former Oscorp employee, Dr. Adrian Toomes about this shocking development, but his feathers seemed ruffled about the company being shut down and declined to comment."
