Man being a "Robin" should come with some really good Workmen's Comp Insurance.

Damian was the best thing to happen to Batman in a long time. He mixed up the dynamics between all of the Bat family and was a great counter to Dick when he took on the mantle. Damian went from being flat out unlikeable to pretty intriguing. Plus he had one of the best/most practical Robin outfits to date.

It's a damn shame they went through with Morrison's initial plan to kill Damian. There was so much potential for future stories. Plus it takes away some of the aura from Jason Todd being the Robin that got killed.

The entire concept is insane and i can't believe how its managed to go so far without readers with any ounce of sense thinking otherwise. Having one kid supremo as a Robin is one thing, that was the time the industry wanted to mute the violence in comics so they created a child the young readers could resonate with and it worked. But to keep contriving reasons for Batman to keep seeking out young children to take out at night to fight crime with him is just insane, especially after one dies and he continues to think its a perfectly rational idea to continue doing so.

Now all they do is kill a child and replace him (or her) with another one and readers just accept this as normal for a superhero. Child abuse on so many levels is what Batman has become all about.
