Man Of Steel Set Pics from 2011 now released in Super Hi-Res

A lot of the set pictures that we saw of Man of Steel back in September and October 2011 were very low quality. Some of this is actually mandated by the studios, where they embargo any hi-res pictures from the set until near release date. That's what seems to be the case with Light Box Gallery who has released all the set pictures in ultra high resolution exclusively to Henry Cavill News.

The pictures are in pristine quality and give us our most detailed look yet at the production. We see pictures of director Zack Snyder and trainer Mark Twight along with star Henry Cavill. The pictures also highlight the immense commitment Cavill has made to the role via his jaw-dropping physique.

You can check out some of the pictures below or in expanded galleries here, here and here.

You can click on the images to see them in full resolution.

Man Of Steel was on track to be released in December 2012. The schedule stayed the same even though the release date moved forwards.

But yeah, this film finished shooting almost 1 and a half years ago.

Cavill did get jacked..his lats filled out nice,delts look good.
Arms,both bi's & tri's seem proportionate & solid.

Back is wide & has striation..he's not overly vascular but he's not going for 'roided out look so overall he looked quite "SUPER".

If only he was a few inches taller.. 6'1" is okay since he was about 205 lbs.
Any taller & he would have looked leaner.
I think perfect size Superman should be 6'4" - 6'5" & 230 - 240 lbs. of muscle.

Too bad most other actors can't get into that kind of shape to play a superhero...Well Christian bale and Tom Hardy are sort of exceptions to the general rule a well.

@batfan175
Bale and Hardy did not even come close to what Cavill has achieved. Infact Hardy had a very poor physique, he looked so flabby.

@KaineParker
His weight of 205 was mentioned by some magazine. I think he's definitely more than that. People who met him while filming all said that he was closer to 220.

@sameoldthing @KingLeonidas

Yeah i think he's much heavier than 205. I'm 6'3" (2 inches taller than Cavill) and weigh around 205 and i'm no where close to his physique. I think if we weighed the same, I don't think a couple of inches would make a huge difference in physique. I reckon he's at least 220.

Wow. Now that guy is CHISELED! I can't wait to see how he'll look in the sequel. He has kept his physique even after filming wrapped up. It can only get better.

It's pretty amazing to witness his extreme transformation. I watched all 5 seasons of The Tudors where he just had the average man physique, then he gained some muscle and got toned for The Immortals. But Snyder's man was able to take Cavill after losing his Immortals body to make him both big and lean, which is really hard to do!

THIS RIGHT HERE, is determination! And as a big fan of Superman, I am grateful and couldn't be more proud of Cavill being the Superman of this new generation!
