NBA Star Carmelo Anthony Set To Cameo In TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2

After a miserable season that was cut short by a knee injury, New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony has seemingly bounced back with a cameo role in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel! Come check him out on set with co-stars Will Arnett & Alessandra Ambrosio!

New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is the latest NBA star to join the cast of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

Anthony was spotted on set last Wednesday in Brooklyn shooting a scene with co-stars Will Arnett (Arrested Development) and Alessandra Ambrosio (Casino Royale). Details of the scene in question are up in the air, but it looks like it may have been some sort of formal party as Arnett and Ambrosio were also spotted dressed up. Co-stars Megan Fox (Transformers) and Stephen Amell (Arrow) were also reportedly on set, but weren't a part of the scene.

Melo will be the sixth NBA star to film a scene. Los Angeles Clippers stars J.J. RedickDeAndre JordanMatt BarnesAustin Rivers, and Spencer Hawes finished filming their cameos in late March. In a podcast with Grantland's Zach Lowe, the prolific sharpshooter Redick also let it slip that the upcoming sequel may be titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Half Shell

Check out a few photos of Melo, Ambrosio, and Arnett below:

The film also features the returns of Alan Ritchson (Blue Mountain State), Noel Fisher (Shameless), Pete Ploszek (Parks & Recreation), and Jeremy Howard (Accepted) as the Turtles. William Fichtner is also expected to return. Michael Bay (Transformers) is back on as producer, but this time Dave Green (Earth to Echo) will be helming with a script from Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol writers Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is expected to hit theaters June 3, 2016

What movie do you think Tom Brady should cameo in while he's serving his 4 game suspension for cheating?

Bounced back? I think this is tumbling further down the mountain.

@MexicanSuperman

No but everything I read has said a suspension is coming. I'm hoping for 4 games or more. Ben got a 4 game suspension for just being accused of sex assault.

@KingPatel

I'll be seriously depressed if that happens. I just think it's hilarious that the NFL season opener will show the Pats unveiling their Super Bowl banner and getting their Super Bowl rings, but the Super Bowl MVP will be banned from the stadium during all of it. I can already imagine all the ESPN stories they'll milk from it.

George Clooney cameo. I would watch it if the cameo was done by George.
Give him nunchaks a let him fight some ninjas. I wanna see this in IMAX.

@blackandyellow - Brady's getting more than 4 games. I think he's getting an 8 game suspension. No promise land for New England this year.

Suspend Brady for the whole year.
I just saw melo on a episode of banshee.
Hope he has some dialogue in this.

I can only hope he has no speaking lines. I am sure they are adding him to the film so they can put him in the trailers and get youths who are interested in basketball culture to see the films. I know the turtles are supposed to be teenagers raised in New York city and most of the teenagers living in NYC are black. But if making the turtles listen to rap, beatbox, wear do-rags, and speak ebonics wasn't enough to capture the "urban market" the first time around I doubt this will be either. All they are doing is making the turtles less appealing to people who grew up with them and taking them away from their surfer personas.

I didn't like the first TMNT movie it was shit, i think second one will be shit as well. If only a director like Joss Whedon directed these movies i would be impressed.

@AlSaheem241 - "I didn't like the first TMNT movie it was shit, i think second one will be shit as well."

Their target demographic is at least half our age, assuming you're around my age, 30. Hell, go back and watch the 90s Ninja Turtles movies. I LOVED them growing up, well not the third one. I watched them not too long ago and nostalgia aside, they're pretty terrible movies. Hell, growing up I never noticed they don't use their weapons in the second movie!

Tom Brady can't beat Eli Manning and the Giants. Just thought I would throw in my two cents as a Giants fan.

@AlSaheem241

After seeing what Whedon did to the Ultron origin story I can only assume that if he had anything to do with this film or the first one Splinter would be replaced by a talking opossum named Chip, Leonardo would be replaced Venus de Milo, or April O'Neil would have been the one to raise the turtles and teach them ninjutsu.

@KingPatel

Those are some good points. The season opener is definitely diminished. Maybe Bell and Blount can smoke up and watch the game together, just like old times. Nobody in their right mind believes a few PSI missing in some balls were the reason the Pats blew out the Colts.

Yes, because that clearly hadn't happened already....

Likewise, the other turtles had on sunglasses, sweaters, track pants and sneakers (not to mention, tattoos). I don't see why the du-rag is the problem. They got all their costumes from the trash.

On the Rich Eisen Show they discussed the reason for the suspension(s) has to do with precedent, the Saints fines/suspensions, and failure to fully comply with the investigation, Brady refused to provide his phone and other personal information.

""All you can do is point to the precedent for integrity of the game violations," Hall of Fame former general manager Bill Polian, a member of the competition committee for 19 years, told USA TODAY Sports. "(Team president) Rich McKay with the Falcons had no knowledge of any involvement with (pumped-in artificial crowd noise into the Georgia Dome). Yet he was still suspended (from the competition committee), and they lost a draft pick.

"The (New Orleans Saints coach) Sean Payton (year-long) Bountygate suspension. And the ... suspension (four games for general manager Ray Farmer for illegally texting to the sideline) in the Browns' case. In two of the three cases, there was complete cooperation.

"In this case, there's some hint of non-cooperation. And it is a serious violation. It's been a long-standing principle in the league that the closer you get to the white line, the more serious the violation is. And this is one that is clearly between the white lines.""

"In the NFL's Policy on Integrity of the Game & Enforcement of Competitive Rules, the league notes that "Failure to cooperate in an investigation shall be considered conduct detrimental to the League and will subject the offending club and responsible individual(s) to appropriate discipline."

Brady's decision to not fully cooperate in the investigation was duly noted in the Wells report.

"Brady's refusal to provide us with his own emails, text messages and phone records on relevant topics, in response to our narrowly tailored requests, limited the evidence available for our review and analysis," the report said."

And the deflated balls might have more to do with the Patriots RIDICULOUS lack of fumbles.

Hey Kenny, did Eastbound and Down get a 3rd season? I can google I guess, but I loved that show. (First season so amazing)

Warriors vs Bulls in the finals..........never would have imagined. I live in the Bay Area, Cali and they have sucked since Mullen and Hardaway. (except for a one year playoff stint)

Just insane to even hear that

hahaha, I know right?!? Ignorance truly is bliss!!! It's their personalities, colors AND weapons that make them so different, but they almost never used their weapons in Secret of Ooze.

And there was a third final season. Nothing compares to the first season, but the final season was easily the second best season. Shane Dogg was great.

GREAT NEWS though!! Danny McBride and Walton Goggins, Boyd Crowder, will co-star in an 18-episode series titled "Vice Principals" which I have very high expectations for. Obviously I'm a McBride fan, but Goggins was brilliant on Justified. I can't wait to see the two together.

Danny Tanner is a good luck charm! He's even got the right colors/logo!

The jinx was that 90s era garbage they wore that looked like stickers from a 25-cent machine! hahahaha.
