CBS' SUPERGIRL Pilot Episode Leaks Six Months Early

Many weren't expecting to see Melissa Benoist suit up as Kara Zor-El until November, but it looks like a few pirates had something else in mind. According to sources, the Supergirl pilot has leaked.

The pilot episode for CBS' hotly anticipated superhero drama Supergirl, which stars Melissa Benoist (Whiplash) as the titular heroine, has leaked.

However, unlike last year's leaked pilots for CW's The Flash and NBC's Constantine, the Supergirl pilot is available in full 1080p HD and is surprisingly watermark-free. The source of the leak is yet-to-be determined, but Variety confirms that the leaked episode went live around 3 a.m. ET this morning. At the time of this posting, CBS had yet to respond to the leak.

Out of respect to the network, CBM will not be posting the leaked content.

The hour-long drama centers on Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, who was born on the planet Krypton and escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

Supergirl will feature:
Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl
Mehcad Brooks as James 'Jimmy' Olsen
Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant
David Harewood as Hank Henshaw
Chyler Leigh as Alexandra 'Alex' Danvers
Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El
Jeremy Jordan as Winslow 'Winn' Schott/Toyman
Faran Tahir as The Commander
Helen Slater in an undisclosed role
Dean Cain in an undisclosed role

Supergirl is slated to premiere November 2015

Without a watermark? Either they did it on purpose to create more buzz or someone horribly [frick]ed up.

Haha I saw it had leaked when I posted my other article and immediately realised I had no idea how to react in that kinda situation... Should I post the link? Should I just tell people it's up...?

In short, I'm glad you handled this one @KingPatel ;)

It was about what I expected. OK as far as pilot's go. I like Benoist. The show has potential. MY daughters will love it. Downloaded it and am going to do the teen test on them later.

I thought it was great as I said in the other thread, whoever leaked it (AFreeMan), did a good job convincing me to watch more episodes ;)

Man, this september is gonna be a good one for CBTVs again, looking forward to it

99% guarantee this is released on purpose, its the networks new way of testing the shows they are worried about. Why just test it to small audiences when they can test it on thousands of people and read descriptive reviews on it. Though they will never admit they are using the torrent sites to do their sneaky market research.

Youtube has already taken it down but I got to see it before that and I have to say I really enjoyed. It felt modern with a nice nod to the past. By that I mean it felt very they were giving a nod to the first Christopher Reeve's movie. I will be watching this for sure.

@AlternateNo4

"And anyone complaining about drama, Arrow and Flash have tons more than this did. Daredevil doesn't because it's far more DCU-style than MCU, but Jessica Jones is going to have plenty and you know it."

You are very wrong. Arrow and Flash have a lot of drama because they air on the CW, which caters mostly to teenaged school girls. The writers HAVE to squeeze that shit into the shows, if they want the execs to let them continue.

Daredevil has less drama because it's on Netflix, which lets Marvel's show runners do whatever they want as long as it's good and mostly faithful to the comics. The tone of DD has nothing to do with the DCU. and if Jessica Jones has a lot more soapy drama, then it's because the Jessica Jones COMIC has a lot of soapy drama (which it doesn't).

Alright, so that wasn't too bad, but it also isn't quite as good as the other superhero shows right now. It's about Gotham level.

Just finished watching Supergirl and i really liked it. Mellissa was great as Kara and had charm and her suit looked good. There was humour too which was nice. And Vartox Owain was great too as the villain. And I liked the story. I will be definitely be watching looking forward to the series.

Who is the main villain for this show? For me all Superman/Supergirl stories are only good thanks to the villain(s).

@lexhairfight One of my closest female friends hate's it exactly because it looks like ugly betty/the devil wears prada/any other generic romantic comedy with a superhero. There's a huge difference between making a great superhero show that just happens to be about a female hero and making a superhero show based on what the network thinks women want, this feels like the latter. The trailer brought back memories of the very cringe-worthy ways women were depicted in comics in the 60s. And if Jessica Jones looks anything like this I will be pretty upset.
