New JURASSIC WORLD Featurette Reveals Animatronic Indominus Rex; Plus B-Roll & 2 TV Spots
For those of you worrying that Jurassic World was relying too much on CGI, fear not, as it looks like Trevorrow used plenty of practical effects as well and this new Korean featurette for the epic dino sequel has seemingly revealed an animatronic Indominus Rex! Plus 2 new TV spots & B-Roll footage!
On Friday, Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World made its long-awaited debut and in a little less than two weeks the park finally opens to fans worldwide!
As the film approaches its release, and after its Paris premiere was met with exceedingly positive reactions, early buzz is definitely trending upward with the vast majority of filmgoers getting more and more excited to finally see the sure-to-be epic film in theaters. Additionally, Jurassic Park star Sam Neill, who portrayed Dr. Alan Grant, tweeted out his best wishes to the Jurassic Team yesterday:
On a bit of a side note, it looks like Colin Trevorrow may not return to direct the potential sequel to Jurassic World. According to an interview conducted by BadTaste.it (via ComingSoon.net), Trevorrow admitted that even though he will likely be involved in some capacity, he probably won't helm the sequel and went on to compare the new installments in the Jurassic Park franchise to the new direction of Star Wars: “Jurassic Park is like Star Wars. Different directors can give a different taste to each movie, I would be involved in some way, but not as director.” Nothing is set in stone, so this is subject to change, but if it does prove to be true, who would you want to direct a potential sequel?
Sometime yesterday, a new Korean featurette surfaced revealing with it practical dinosaurs similar to the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptors, and Triceratops used in the original 1993 film! We don't get to see too much, but there are shots of the new Velociraptor sculpts and a head sculpt of the fearsome Indominus Rex.
