RUMOR: Fox May Be Considering Swapping FANTASTIC FOUR 2 With A DEADPOOL Sequel

It'll probably be months before we can separate fact from fiction. Now, a new rumor has surfaced suggesting the already announced Fantastic Four 2 might be swapped out for Deadpool 2!

Take this news with a huge grain of salt, but The Daily Superhero is reporting that 20th Century Fox may be fast-tracking a sequel to Tim Miller's Deadpool, which stars Ryan Reynolds, and if that wasn't enough, they also suggest that there have been internal discussions regarding possibly swapping out the Fantastic Four sequel, which is already set for a June 9, 2017 release date, with a sequel to Deadpool, a yet-to-be released project they are reportedly very happy with.

It should be reiterated that this is an unconfirmed rumor, but if true, according to Empire & Birth.Movies.Death., a potential Deadpool sequel will more than likely incorporate Cable. Also, if true, this would also mean production on a Deadpool sequel would have to begin not long after its February 12, 2016 release date in order to meet the potential 2017 sequel date.

What do you think about a potentially fast-tracked Deadpool sequel? Who would you like to see play Cable? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool features:
Director: Tim Miller
Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool
Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle/Copycat
Ed Skrein as Francis/Ajax
Gina Carano as Angel Dust
T.J. Miller as Jack Hammer/Weasel
Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead
Andre Tricoteux as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus
Leslie Uggams as Blind Al
Jed Rees as The Recruiter

Deadpool slices his way into theaters February 12, 2016

Maybe even introduce the new Wolverine actor in X-Force too

Also,

Bring Fantastic Four home!!!!!!!!!!

This whole Fant4stic disaster has made me respect Marvel and DC/WB even more than I did before and I respected them a lot before

But, I don't think either Marvel or DC/WB would ever let this happen, especially Marvel.

Fant4stic is even worse than Green Lantern.

Marvel went through production hell to make Ant-Man but they did it, and Ant-Man is awesome. I really hope Fantastic Four come home, and the cosmic rights too, because Marvel Studios really care about these characters and it shows

Yeah man, regardless Ant-Man is a good movie and it tells a good story, start to finish, it also perfectly fits into the MCU and keeps the Universe moving forward

Marvel is quality, they've proven it time after time

I'm really surprised and disappointed at Fox for Fant4stic, not just for what they did to the Fantastic Four but for releasing such a bad movie. The best thing they could do right now is get those rights back to Marvel

I saw it online, it's so bad that it's insulting. It's definitely not the Fantastic Four in any shape or form. They poke fun at the Fantastic Four more than represent Marvel's first family. The movie is absolutely horrible, it's a mess.

The list could go on forever man, it literally feels like a dark parody or something. Horrible. I feel bad for the actors. Bring Fantastic Four home.

I should be more worried about Deadpool now but for some reason I'm not.

Make a DEADPOOL KILLS DEADPOOL movie. It would be weird but other than a few characters, the movie could actually take a lot from the comic. They can use GalactusPool and Wolverine Pool (idk his name). Only one they couldn't use would be DuckPool. Unless there is another one I can't think of. Also the story with the dead presidents would be cool. Only thing is that Shield is pretty heavy in that book, but all they gotta do is switch it with some other government agency.

Well.....on the bright side this might be a sign Fox has more confidence in deadpool than the FF.

soon......

I already love the Deadpool movie from what I’ve seen. Tim Miller is a huge fan of the comics and you can tell by the way the characters are dressed!

I know people keep saying this, but this truly is a gift that keeps giving. Nothing but win throughout this entire situation. Well, except for maybe Trank, but he'll bounce back…probably…or probably not. Most likely the latter, but at least I'm happy.

I urge people not to sit out Deadpool because of Fantastic Four. Deadpool did nothing wrong and doesn't deserve to be punished because of this mishap.

That was a reshoot, every one of the scene were Victor Von Doom name is say or even worst in every scene were he works with the team is a reshoot, every one of the scenes where Kate Mara have a wig is too a reshoot.

That scene you are telling is a reshoot, almost all the first act is a reshoot.
