McNally, Stephen Graham, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, David Wenham, and Golshifteh Farahani

Orlando Bloom is back for this installment. Yay.......

Seriously though, the 4th film suffered so much for making Sparrow the main character instead of Bloom and Keira Knightley. They tried doing that romantic subplot with Sam Claflin and it didn't work.

I would say it's gonna be better than the third and fourth movie, with the Norwegian Kon tiki directors at the helm nothing can go wrong.

I always enjoy these movies they're just a fun time and sometimes that's all I want in a movie. Plus there aren't THAT many pirate movies in general.

Soooooo...they're taking the plot vehicle from the first installment (dead/ghost pirates == dead/ghost pirates), and smashing it up with the plot vehicle from the third installment (master of the seas/Calypso == master of the seas/Poseidon's Trident) to come up with this??

I am unimpressed. If they are already recycling plot devices, then it's clear that they should just drop anchor on the franchise and be done with it. They've clearly run out of interesting ideas to use, so why bother?

I may actually pass on this movie.

I'm dissapointed they're not bringing Jack's pirate crew back. I always enjoyed his crew, because they made the movies more interesting and that was a reason the last one wasn't good. So they should have come back.

Cant's wait for this. So glad Bloom is back. He and Knightly were the real heroes of the films, not Jack, hence the horrible fourth movie.

These movies went off the deep end with the Jack Sparrow shit and the story suffered for it. He was the Han Solo of the series and needed to be used sparingly - more time should have been spent developing Knightley and Bloom, who could have been better cast as well.

There were a lot of great ideas in the second two movies, but they were so scattershot and rushed that it made the viewing experience somewhat painful. I'm convinced that if they had spent a few more months on those screenplays, we could have had really memorable fantasy epics.

Why are they doing this again?

They need to shelf it for 10 years and then reboot it.

Disney ain't hurting for money.

1st was Great
2nd was Great
3rd was Good
4th was ok, still don't understand why they did that one either.
