Gabriel Chavarria Lands A Lead Role In WAR OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

War is on the horizon for Andy Serkis' Caesar and his ape brethren. The upcoming 2017 sequel War Of The Planet Of The Apes may have found one of its lead roles in East Los High star Gabriel Chavarria. Come check it out to see whether he's playing a human or an ape!

20th Century Fox's upcoming sci-fi sequel War Of The Planet Of The Apes has found one of its two human leads in Gabriel Chavarria (East Los High). He joins director Matt Reeves, who also helmed the previous installment, and star Andy Serkis (Avengers: Age Of Ultron), who's returning for his third go-round as franchise hero Caesar. Mark Bomback (The Wolverine) is penning the script. Details about Chavarria's role as well as details on the film's plot remain under wraps.

Considering that the original 2011 reboot Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes grossed over $481 million worldwide, a sum which its 2014 sequel Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes nearly doubled with its $708 million global haul, Fox certainly has high hopes for this upcoming third installment.

War Of The Planet Of The Apes is expected to hit theaters July 14, 2017; a week after Disney's Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and two weeks before Marvel/Sony's upcoming Spider-Man reboot.

Dawn was nothing like Battle. In premise, maybe, but otherwise it was totally different.

War is supposedly going to focus entirely on an all out war between humans and apes though.

The reboot has been amazing so far. But it is set to release between 2 massive movies, which will probably affect its revenue.

Fox is 2/2 With their rebooted Planet of the Apes films because I f*ckin love both of em! The first one I went to see in the Theaters not knowing what to expect and by the Gods this movie was great not good but GREAT! Apes on Horses comes around last year and just blows my MuffinCapBackBlue and winds up being #3 best film of 2014 in my dumb opinion, right next to Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America The Winter Soldier

Apes 3 tho needs a better title than War or call it War for The Planet of the Apes, Idk the titles for all the Apes films are sooooo damn long it doesn't matter what I think

@fett

The human space mission launched in "RISE" was not a "last ditch effort" it was a mission to Mars
that launched the day before the Ape virus got out.

FOX can ether let the reference stand as an easter egg and homage to the original film,or use it
as the basis of a new Ape trilogy set 2000 years from now in which the spaceship went through a
time warp of some kind or stayed in suspended animation.

Perhaps, the ships computers needed some kind of command from earth to wake the crew that never
was sent due to the virus causing civilization to fall.

When it's all done, this will be one of the very few almost flawless trilogy's I will watch again and again. I still can't believe Ceasar, Maurice and the others are CGI. They are aren't they?

These movies are absolutely amazing. The amount of emotion the actors and weta can get across in those CGI faces are astonishing. I walked out of theater thinking serkis and toby kebell deserved oscar noms AT LEAST for the acting they poured into their characters.

Koba and Ceaser's relationship was so intense.
