No HULK In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR; Current Whereabouts Are Highly Confidential

Early on in production, it was teased that Mark Ruffalo would appear in some capacity as the Hulk in Captain America: Civil War, but now according to a new interview with Ruffalo, it seems as though we won't be seeing the fan favorite Hulk for a little while longer. Come check it out!

Back in June, it was widely rumored, thanks mostly to Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), that Mark Ruffalo (Begin Again) would appear in some capacity as Bruce Banner/Hulk in the highly anticipated Captain America: Civil War. However, based on some new information, it seems as though, while that may have been the initial plan, those original plans have changed.

Speaking with BadTaste. It, Ruffalo revealed that while he was a part of one early draft of the Captain America: Civil War script, he was later removed because Marvel felt the Hulk's current whereabouts were too huge to reveal in this already jam-packed film. Read his full comments (translated from Italian) below:

"Because it's still missing is not known where. I thought that I would be in the film, but in the end evidently believe that reveal what happened Hulk is something too big, and Marvel wants to use this information later. My character had been inserted in the script, but then it was taken away. Who knows, maybe Hulk will never return. However, they want to keep the revelation of what happened a secret, because it is something really big."

Well, that's certainly interesting... and while, it does make sense that Marvel would want to hold off on adding another major Avenger to a film that's already filled to the brim with a variety of our beloved heroes... where exactly did the Hulk fly off to following the events of Avengers: Age Of Ultron? Is he still on Earth? Or did he find a way to leave the planet?

Now, it should be noted, that we could always see him show up in a post-credits scene, but there's probably a better chance we'll see something from Scott Derrickson's Doctor Strange instead.

What do you guys think? Where is the Hulk? Sound off with your thoughts below!

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Captain America: Civil War will feature:
Directors: Anthony & Joe Russo
Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier
Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon
Paul Bettany as The Vision
Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine
Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch
Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man
Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther
Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13
Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo
Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones
William Hurt as General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross
Martin Freeman in an undisclosed role
Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man

It's kind of hard to imagine where Hulk could be, if he's still on Earth perhaps Ross or the Leader got their hands on him. Seeing that we most likely won't get another Hulk movie anytime soon I guess it would be smart to imagine how his wearabouts could help tie into future films to come. Now when I think about it, I think that wherever he is will tie into Infinity Wars more than his own solo film circumstances.

But I know everyone is thinking about Planet Hulk but I thought Fiege said that it wasn't happening?

Red Hulk appearing in Civil War was one of my hopes of seeing onscreen. A lot of people don't like the idea of the character but I do. lol Especially if the character is used as a way to fill in the team on Stark's side. But eh, I think it would be highly more favorable to see him part of the "Dark Avengers" more than anything else.

We need to have a scene in One of the Infinity Wars similar to one of the episodes of earths mightiest heroes. Just replace Graviton with Thanos. Thanos whooping everyone's ass and says something along the lines of "With the gauntlet, I'm the most powerful being/strongest one there is!" *Hulk lands out of know where with a grin* (and says one of his first and only lines in the MCU) "You sure about that?" *BOOM*.

Make it happen Fiege

This is great news. It attests to the fact that Marvel doesn't want to overcrowd a film that already has a lot to establish. Saving this massive reveal makes it juicier and Ruffalo revealing that there is A REVEAL A JUICY ONE, makes the secret one worth waiting for

Ross may have him. He watched something he's hated for years cause death IN South Africa. Maybe the accords and ross secretly find hulk and capture Banner...keep him sedated and locked away, experimenting on him.
