RUMOR: Hugh Jackman Will Reportedly Be A Part Of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Reshoots
Hugh Jackman's involvement in X-Men: Apocalypse has always been quite a mystery, but now a new report has potentially shed some light on whether we'll see his fan favorite Wolverine show up next May. We also have news on when reshoots are scheduled. Come check it out!
"I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice. I'm the Wolverine."
Long-time X-Men star Hugh Jackman has already announced that he'll be hanging up the claws in 2017 when his third solo Wolverine outing hits theaters, however, with three X-Men universe films (Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, & Gambit) arriving next year, it's hard not to imagine that he'll show up in at least one, if not two, of those three.
Considering Wolverine's relatively ambiguous status at the end of Bryan Singer's critically acclaimed X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which sees him being fished out of the Potomac River by Mystique posing as William Stryer before being seen again in the future reunited with his original castmates. It's always been somewhat assumed that Jackman would make at least some sort of appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse to somewhat clarify what became of him. However, when the film wrapped in September, Jackman was shooting Eddie The Eagle and hadn't been spotted on the Apocalypse set once throughout its extensive five month shoot, although there was that one report of a specific prop being fitted for the Academy Award-nominated Jackman.
A new report from Le Journal De Montréal has potentially shared some very interesting details regarding reshoots. The Journal reveals that the Singer-directed film, which is currently deep in post-production. will return to Montréal in January for a few weeks of reshoots. Since reshoots are fairly commonplace amongst major big-budget blockbuster films, this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, however, here's where it does get interesting. While uncertain about which stars will return, the journal then adds that they have reason to believe that "Hugh Jackman (aka Wolverine) will be on hand" this time around.
What this means exactly and/or the extent of his involvement is yet-to-be seen, and this report should probably be labeled as a rumor for the time-being, but if proven true, it would certainly be a welcome addition.
