First Trailer For X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Will Be Attached To STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS
Well, it sounds like Captain America: Civil War won't be the only trailer debuting in front of Star Wars: The Force Awakens this December as a new report has revealed that Fox plans on releasing the highly anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse trailer the same weekend! Come check it out!
Late last month, Collider reported that Marvel Studios was planning on debuting the eagerly awaited first trailer for Captain America: Civil War ahead of Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December. Considering both films are Disney products, that move wasn't necessarily too surprising as it was expected by many.
However, earlier tonight, Collider dropped another bombshell and it's that 20th Century Fox is also planning on debuting the first trailer for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse, their highly anticipated follow-up to the critically acclaimed X-Men: Days Of Future Past, ahead of the upcoming Star Wars sequel. Writer/producer Simon Kinberg confirmed the report: “I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it.” Sounds exciting!
With Star Wars occupying an unprecendented amount of screens during the mid-December weekend, it shouldn't be too shocking that nearly every major studio in town is attemping to attach their biggest 2016 trailers to the J.J. Abrams-directed film. Expect to hear another big trailer or two join the party as December 18th inches closer.
