I really don't see what's so taboo about an interracial relationship.

^In the 40's? Very taboo.

In the 40's it was indeed ODD for a white woman to go for a black man, or white man to for a black woman, but this was thanks to social structures of the time. It still wasn't weird to fall for a person of another race, I mean people are people, not races/ethnicities.

Do ya thang Peggy. Love who you wanna love. [frick] 1940s societal bigotry

Hollywood is pushing big the interracial relationship especially in comic book shows and movies (supergirl, Jessica Jones, Arrow, Shield new Star wars) . Also in Sci fi movies. I guess the don't want the white man to get the girl anymore.

@kANJAR210:

I completely agree with you. Very rarely do we see instances of Black Love on TV these days. 9 times out of 10, if there's a Black person on TV, s/he is involved with, or seeking to be involved with someone other than Black.

Not saying that I am against IR's, but it'd be nice to see a little Black on Black action for a change.

@SAMURAI36

I think it's just a reaction against the old Hollywood trope where, in a cast of mostly white characters, the two black characters would always get together. Once interracial relationships became possible, it meant that black characters could end up with any other character, and generally there are only one or at best a handful of black characters to begin with, so interracial relationships have become common almost by default.

Why's everyone assuming their in a relationship? Maybe it's her new partner or maybe she's just getting information. Just throwing it out there. We know she's sweet on Sousa.

Wow, amazing how some of you can have an open mind on comics but so narrow minded by interracial relationships.

It's quite pathetic.

First of all IT IS A TRAILER!!!! Secondly, if she has the jungle fever, WHO CARES!! Plus Jessica/Luke relationship isn't forced, IT'S in the COMICS!. Plus I love it cause it give all the more reason to bring in Squirrel Girl. Honestly when is Mack from AOS gonna get some love?

It's 2015. Interracial relationships happen. I'm black and I date a white woman. Big whoop. Times are changing. At the end of the day, we're all human beings who just happen to be different colors. Not a big deal.

No, they sidelined Iris for the plot. The hero gets the girl in the end.
IN THE END.
Can't have him shack up with his soulmate in the first seasons. That's boring!

i m talking about main stream, big budget hollywood.
were the main actor is other than black/white.

its hard for an asian dude to be big in hollywood.
compare the no. of famous asian actors with others.. there is a big differences.
any way this talk is pointless.

I just wonder if we're ever going to find out who Peggy Carter married (as she mentioned in the film clip Steve Rogers watches at the "Captain America" exhibit at the Smithsonian).

Why are some ppl acting like Peggy being in a I/R relationship would be something new or, "forced on us"? Do you ppl know your comic book history? Peggy was with a black dude(Gabe Jones)in the comics and was featured in one of the first BM/WW I/R kisses seen in comics:

That was written in 1974, so Peggy being with a black guy is nothing new.
