Oscar nominee Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village Roadshow Pictures' sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow," under the direction of Doug Liman. The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.

Major William Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Edge of Tomorrow features:
Director: Doug Liman
Tom Cruise as Lt. Col. William "Bill" Cage
Emily Blunt as Rita Vrataski
Bill Paxton as General Farrell Bartolome
Jeremy Piven as Col. Walter Marx
Lara Pulver as Karen Lord
Marianne Jean-Baptiste as Dr. Whittle
Jonas Armstrong as Skinner
Kick Gurry as Griff
Kidus Henok as Lewis
Tony Way as Kimmel
Madeleine Mantock as Julie
Dragomir Mrsic in an unspecified role
Charlotte Riley in an unspecified role
Franz Drameh in an unspecified role

Edge of Tomorrow hits theaters June 6, 2014.

Looks like another tall order for Cruise. Of course, everything is a tall order for Cruise. The guy's like 3'11". These "saving the Earth" films are compensating for SOMETHING. *nudge-nudge, wink-wink*

^^^
Elysium was a bit late to use exoskeleton in a story. 'All You Need Is Kill' came out in 2004(???) and used them. Whatever though, it could go on and on this borrowed from that, they stole from this.

Emily Blunt is very beautiful. She got in amazing shape for this movie.

I mean, she looks like she is ready to play a superhero.

I still can't believe FHM ranked her number 74 on their sexiest women list. She belongs in the top 10.

Emily Blunt passed on the Black Widow role awhile back.....I don't mind Scarlett....but I think Blunt would make that character a little more "legit"...if that makes sense???

Rumors were that she was upset at Marvel for passing on her husband John Krasinski for the Cap role....that's why she passed on Black Widow....

another Japanese manga adaptation from hollywood..why they changed the title from "all you need is kill" (which is the original title from manga) to "edge of tomorrow"?

Ok, Blunt's agent must have told her that she's gotta stop passing on the action roles. She's gotta be kicking herself in butt to not have taken that Black Widow role.
