It's only about 3 months and a week until
Batman: Arkham Knight releases on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. 2 new screenshots for the game have been released and are obviously posted above this text. Now with this being Rocksteady's
LAST Batman game, many fans think they will do another DC game or perhaps a new IP after
Batman: Arkham Knight. The one DC superhero everyone wants to see Rocksteady tackle on is Superman. Like Batman's video game history before
Batman: Arkham Asylum, Superman's video game history is pretty bad. The most noteworthy game is Nintendo 64's
Superman 64 which many proclaim as one of the worst video games of all time. Now Batman also had
Batman: Dark Tomorrow which Gameinformer gave a 0.75/10. In the second trailer in the Ace Chemicals Infiltration demo, if you pause at 1:09, you will see this:
Props to TheFirstAvenger for pointing this out.
Yep, a LexCorp building in Gotham. It won't be the first time Lex Luthor is involved in a major Batman story without the Man of Steel, if he is in the game. Lex Luthor was a big villain in the Batman story arc
No Man's Land. Now it could just be an easter egg. In
Batman: Arkham Asylum, there was an easter egg to the Injustice League which Lex Luthor started in the comics. In
Batman: Arkham City, Professor Hugo Strange mentioned wanting to do Arkham City like prisons in places like Metropolis and Keystone City. Metropolis is Superman's city obviously and Keystone City is the city Wally West Flash protects. Now there were a ton of easter eggs in WB Montreal's
Batman: Arkham Origins. Easter eggs to characters like Superman, Green Arrow, Hal Jordan Green Lantern, Barry Allen Flash, Wonder Woman, and others. I choose not to post about them mostly because I'm focusing on Rocksteady's Batman games because the main easter eggs in this article are from Rocksteady's upcoming
Batman: Arkham Knight. So what do you take from this? Do the new screenshots look amazing or ugly? Do you think Lex could be involved in this story or the LexCorp building is just an easter egg? Do you want Rocksteady's next game to be a Superman game or another DC hero or maybe a new IP from them? Comment below, let me know. Peace.
In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City. Be The Batman.
