VIDEO GAMES: Rocksteady Studios's Next Game Multiplayer Focused, Could It Be JUSTICE LEAGUE?
After finishing Batman: Arkham Knight this year; Rocksteady is working on a new game hiring people that worked on "successfully published multiplayer titles". Could this be a multiplayer Justice League game?
Ever since they broke the Batman gaming curse with 2009's critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum; Rocksteady Studios has been the game studio every fan wants to make a game on their favorite superhero. Given how they are owned by WB and made the Batman: Arkham Trilogy; it's unlikely they would be working on a Marvel game. Rocksteady has gone on record stating Batman: Arkham Knight would be their final Batman game before release but what about the possibility of a Justice League game from the critically acclaimed studio?
It seems a bit more likely now. Rocksteady is putting up job listings for their next game project. Two separate positions for senior and lead programmer. A requirement for the job is that applicants to have a “proven track record as a team lead with experience on at least two successfully published multiplayer titles.”. The lead programming job also will “manage a growing team of network coders". These jobs are connected with games that include multiplayer, something Rocksteady never did in any of their Batman games (WB Games Montreal did multiplayer in Batman: Arkham Origins).
Given how we know WB Games Montreal is working on 2 DC game titles which are likely a Superman and Suicide Squad game & Netherrealm Studios is likely at work on a sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us, do you think Rocksteady could be working on a multiplayer Justice League game? Or do you think they may be working on an entirely new IP? Whatever you think, comment below let me know. Peace and remember...
