Bridget Regan For Wonder Woman... Anyone?

The fans of Bridget Regan have started a petition to give the actress a shot at playing Wonder Woman.
You probably remember good ol Bridget Regan don't you? She starred in “Legend of the Seeker” for those of you who do not know. Bridget's fans have started a online petition to get her a screen test for the role of Wonder Women. In doing so her fans have put the actress up against the likes of Beyonce and Jessica Biel.

This from the Bridget Regan fans:

“We feel that (Bridget Regan) has all the right qualities to give justice to the character of Wonder Woman. All we are asking is to at least give Bridget Regan a screen test to see if she fits the necessary requirements to fulfill the role of Wonder Woman.”

The above statement was addressed to no other then Warner Brothers, DC Comics, and Disney ABC. Talk about double looker. Currently the petition has a little over 100 signatures urging anyone to sign the petition to give Ms. Regan a shot at the big screen.

Obviously Warner Brothers needs to find a director before any casting choices are made but it is cool to at least have your name in the hat when that time comes.

I think its off as well the beyonce rumor, but her name is being thrown around for the part. It just depends on what route the WB wants to take on Wonder Women. To be honest I dont know about all three of these chicks getting the role, no megan fox either. Id like to see Munn try out!

The entire first season of LEGEND OF THE SEEKER is on HULU, everybody!

Watch like one or two episodes a day; it's a great show! :)

BRIDGET REAGEN'S performance will grow on you, I promise! She's awesome!

And like I previously said, I have NO PROBLEM with BEYONCE doing WW so long a she can deliver a convincing depiction of WW! The only problem is that BEYONCE tends to portray HERSELF in most of her acting roles.

JESSICA BEIL is AMAZING! That Girl is SLAMMIN'! :)

I have NO DOUBT her Bodacious Butt can deflect an onslaught of bullets! MEOW! :D

But give BRIDGET a chance! She has it in her to be an EXCELLENT WW! :)

I want to see Wonder Woman the way I have always known and loved her on the tv and in comics. The way she had been created. The height we can cheat with granted, but you cant cheat the looks. You either got it or you dont. If this is the first movie EVER of Wonder Woman (not including the made for TV movie that sucked with Kathy Lee Cosby!) If this is the FIRST MOVIE EVER let it represent. Remain true to the storyline ESPECIALLY how she looked. Remember the fans who have known and loved her as she is and dont want her changed. Remember the fans and dont sell out to the highest bidder.

I have seen some acting from Bridget Regan and I think she's decent at times, mainly correct and sometimes a bit not so good at all. But she fights good in action sequences, and perhaps with some CGI she can appear a bit taller than she is and could do a good Wonder Woman.

There was an article here wich said that Megan Gale wouldn't be Wonder Woman after all, here:

A little age on the actress, younger or older doesn't bother me. That's what the acting will cover up. You see, all the actress needs to do is tell the audience that she's the age of the character that she's portraying, and guess what? We'll believe her! And that's the magic of movies.

All I want, is an actress that will sell Wonder Woman convincingly. If shes known or unknown, I don't care. Just make this movie work well. I want to be blown away by a great story, acting, and action. If Gale can do that, fine. Biel? Fine. Just do this movie right! Not campy. Not for the kiddies. But make it a serious endeavor, so that this movie is something you'd want to own in your own private collection.

What acting skills and experience did Linda Carter have prior to her TV role as W.W.?
If we don't get to see Fabiola as the comic book heroine, how about a new and improved (rated R) version of Bay Watch?

I am blushing... thank you. But I am not the only true fan here. There are quite a few here who share my love and passion for Wonder Woman, and have more knowledge! right Phinehas. Quite a few of us here who are on the same page. But who would I pick?

1) Jody Lynn O'keefe: Prison Break
Black hair, sparkling blue eyes, 5'10, does kickboxing, no nonsense look about her, good actress, athletic build. She has the look that you just better think twice before you step to her.

2) Lena Headey: 300 (the Myths suggestion!)
Dark hair, the blue eyes, only 5'5 =( (too short), fights swords, does action, VERY CREDIBLE ACTRESS, can stand to gain some weight. If it werent for her height and age I would love her but while we can cheat on the height you cant cheat the look. Wonder Woman is of a mature age and regal bearing something I feel Lena Headey would be able to lend the character of Wonder WOman but by the time they begin to film I fear and grudingly admit she would be too mature to be Wonder Woman by then & is also too short =( but if I had to choose height or acting abilities....

To be honest and fair Megan Gale was beautiful and looked the part but unfortunately she didnt have the credibility or the acting chops to be able to bring Wonder Woman to life on the screen imho. She didnt have any fighting background which I also think is necessary considering Wonder Woman is well versed in all styles of MMA. That would also translate on screen for someone who has never executed a decent fron kick in their life. And no fighting is NOT like dancing!

I also like Jessica Biel but though she has the ability to fight and act and has the atletic toned look I would LOVE for Wonder Woman she really doesnt have the "look" if you know what I mean. Her height is also something to consider 5'7 but we could always cheat with that. I would sacrifice height for solid acting. And yea you can cheat with her "look" contacts and all but to me its cheesy. Like Jessica ALba in Fantastic 4.

And, Ivana Milicevic from Casino Royal. She has blonde hair but looks good with hair dyed dark, blue eyes, 5'10, can act, but I dont know about her fighting.

And that is my honest opinion. Just trying to keep it real. I want someone who will be credible, IDENTIFIABLE, and able to bring life and dignity to my favorite superhero. I would like the movie to be done with the same respect and consideration like when they made Batman Begins. I dont want something campy and trashy and bimboesque when they make the movie cuz its going to really hurt- THEM! when I find them! lol.. no but seriously...

If they dont pick anyone of the ones we have chosen here then all I ask is that they be true to the storyline and DONT SELL OUT! Be true to the fans and let it be someone who will REPRESENT, be IDENTIFIABLE AS WONDER WOMAN.

I'VE GOT IT!!!! Two words, people - "Rhona Mitra"!!!! 5'7'', Black hair, brown eyes (think contacts, people... "CONTACTS"). Actor with fighting ability (last film - 'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans', played 'Sonja'). Apparently she was also was a Laura Croft model in one of the 'Tomb Raider' video games. She kicks ass, DEFINATELY has a presence and looks good doing it all! Whadya' think?

I have a hard time with Jody Lynn O'keefe because, to me, yeah, she looks like a b*#$ch, but not necessarily intimidating. She looks like she could be mean, but not physically. Not on the level with an amazonian. I agree with you completely on Megan Gale. Lena has the look, but you're right on the age. If you want to give Wonder Woman any credibility, you have to take into consideration that this SHOULD be a franchise, and you want a younger Diana, and pay homage as an origin story. (One that far too many people know little to nothing about, unfortunately.)

I think that Biel would be perfect. I also think that waaaaay too many poeple downplay her acting ability, and it wouldn't surprise me if she could pull off a believable/relatable character, with a decent Greek accent. Just my humble opinion.

I have to disagree. Look at Gerard Butler. He looked so paunchy in P.S. I Love You to me compared to 300. Who would think if 300 came after that movie he could be Leonides? He did it. He got a strict regimen, diet, workout, cut out the cigs, drinking and worked his ass off and he became Leonides. Very convincingly. I believe and I can see Jody Lynn doing the same. I see the warrior in her. She has imho the "look", the strength, sense of command in her voice and sense of presence, imo

At least we agree on Biel. =) I like her too. And again I wouldnt mind to sacrifice height for solid acting and she can fight! And I agree with you, I think she is underrated. I really loved her look in Blade III. If she could be toned like that and bring Wonder Woman to life on the big screen Im alright with it. I still dont believe she has the "look" but if they could fix it without it looking cheesy... cool. I love Jody Lynn first, her look is what first attracted me to her & then her height 5'10 but hey.. Both Lena Headey and Ivana Milicevic are my favourites, but seeing the enormous delay this film has, they will be too old when production begins.

Also, Wonder Woman's greatest handicap is in her own character.

Noo. Bridget Regan is very pretty but far too small breasted and her hips are too narrow.

Wonder Woman has to have a hip to waist ratio(small waist wide hips) and she has to be buxom, at least as much as Lynda Carter who was a 37C back when a 37C is closer to what a Dcup is today. They can always train the actress to be more athletic prior to shooting but she has to have an hourglass shape first, without it she is just Wonder GIRL, like Megan Fox or Jessica Biel would be. Jodi Lyn O'Keefe is too small up top and hip wise as well.

I think one should ALWAYS reference back to Lynda Carter first, granted that standard is impossible, but one should still do that. She has to have a tall hourglass NATURAL figure which these days is rare, no one has it who's well known outside of porn.
