Christopher McQuarrie Has Been Hired To Write The Script For Wolverine 2!

This is great news as the screen writer for such films as "The Usual Suspects," and "Valkyrie" has been hired seemingly to save this franchise!

According to "The Hollywood Reporter" Christopher McQuarrie has been hired by Fox to script the sequel to this years "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

The trades also confirms that the sequel WILL in fact take pages from Frank Miller's run on Wolverine, putting the mutant avenger in Japan.

With McQuarrie's involvement one has to wonder if Bryan Singer will try to get involved as the two of them have worked together in the past on the first X-men film.

	Josh: Yeah man! Not just FF...I'd love to see Silver Surfer be able to show up in an Avengers movie...something big that makes them team up again. Or, dare I dream, a live Planet Hulk, SOMEDAY. 	Singer as already proven that he can make an adequate film with Fox and Donner (X-Men & X-Men2). But because McQuarrie worked with Singer a bit it doesn't mean he will with Wolverine 2. Also, to mirror a few sentiments, FOX pulls the strings. So it'll likely suck. This guy could write an awesome draft and just sit there and watch FOX suits hack the shit out of it. They (FOX) don't get it. They have the wrong people making the wrong decisions on every movie they've ever done with a superhero in it. They don't give a shit about the source just the bottom line. As long as they keep pulling us in with false hopes that "Next time will be better", they'll keep sucker punching the fans and to a lesser extent Joe Public. I've read a few mentions of DareDevil being a decent FOX superhero movie and I agree it was decent - the Director's Cut. Look at the butchered product we got in theaters. A final product that had FOX suits forcefully rip out an entire storyline, that as the Director's Cut proved made the film a lot more of a complete story, thus making the movie over all better. FOX is run by monkeys that hide in Uwe Boll's attic, listening in on his brainstorms. Wolverine 2 will suck and at best be tolerable under FOX guidance.
