ShockTillYouDrop.com is reporting that Jill Valentine will be replaced by Ada Wong in director Paul W.S. Anderson's Resident Evil: Retribution. Wong is the Chinese secret agent who appeared in the video games Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4.

When it was recently announced that director Paul W.S. Anderson and actress Milla Jovovich would be returning for a fifth Resident Evil, there were simultaneous reports that Leon Kennedy and Barry Burton would be characters in the new movie. Those same reports said that Sienna Guillory's character Jill Valentine would be recast. But apparently, Ada Wong will be on it instead of Jill.

It was not revealed who might play her at this point, but fans of the games should be thrilled that Anderson is bringing in another favorite.

For those who dont know Ada, here is a little bit about her, thanks to Wikipedia:
A woman of Chinese descent, Ada is a cunning and formidable secret agent for the mysterious and powerful group known as "Organization". Ada makes her first appearance in Resident Evil 2, secretly working as a spy for an unnamed company, sent to recover a sample of the deadly G-virus from the Umbrella's lab in Raccoon City. Ada poses as a bystander who is searching for her missing boyfriend, John, when she meets Leon S. Kennedy, a rookie police officer trapped in the city. Her secret agenda is exposed, but she is seriously wounded by either Annette Birkin or the Tyrant T-103 and falls from a massive shaft.
Her next appearance was in Resident Evil 4, where she assists Leon in his mission to rescue the new U.S. President's daughter Ashley Graham, although her true objective is to obtain a sample of the Las Plagas parasites for Albert Wesker.

The fifth installment starts filming in late September for a September 14, 2012 release. Milla Jovovich will return to play Alice in the Screen Gems movie.

Well I can already imagine the shit Paul will bring for Leon, Ada and Barry. Prolly they will be a part of some all new police team or whatever, and Ada will be on this team too instead of how she was on the original.
Anderson is destroying the Resident Evil name with this movies.

Forget this entire goddamned franchise. I hate every bit of it... Except Nemesis. They did his character justice. That's as far as it goes, though.

Shocktilldrop's source might be a bit unreliable on this one. Both Milla Jovovich and Sienna Guillory herself confirmed she was casted again as Jill Valentine in Retribution....and Milla's been tweeting something about Jill vs Alice scenes...

Me and a few friends had a long arguement/rant on video game/cartoon adaptations. Why some things should NOT be adapted to the big screen and how easily it would be to make some of them.

Im going to post an editorial soon.
