Michael Rooker may have been the only principal Guardians of the Galaxy actor to be captured in set photos and in costume back while filming was underway, but he's now one the few we've yet to get an official look with the the upcoming Marvel adaptation just a month away. Promising we'll see "more of him soon," director James Gunn has shared a new Facebook "pic of the day" featuring a silhouette of his close friend and frequent collaborator as the mysterious blue-hued Yondu Udonta. Check out the post below and expect a new one from James Gunn everyday leading up to August 1.
UPDATE: In the comments section of the Facebook post (below), fans asked James Gunn for the umpteenth time why Yondu doesn't have the big red fin in Guardians of the Galaxy that he has in Marvel Comics. "Rooker is my friend, but he is clumsy and I don't want him knocking his head off walking through doorways," the director quipped . "I'm in a surreal situation where the biggest disappointment expressed by some fans over the comics-to-movie translation is that Michael Rooker doesn't have a flamboyant and flowing three foot red fin atop his head." Gunn then added, "He does have a fin and it is very awesome it's just very short. I could have done a lot of things but I helped to design the way he looks because I like it better and believe it."
